Ladies and gentlemen I believe we are at a critical point with Halo. The fuse of excitement seems to be diminishing for the game. I may be wrong, but when I played the previous Halos there was a constant buzz. I recognize there weren’t as many games to compete with, there wasn’t a lot of advancements in consoles, times and the gaming industry itself was much simpler. Now I enjoy Halo 5, there’s a lot that I love about it. But I admit to you all, and pardon me for being late, but this game has been tarnished. I do play it more competitively based but I am starting to become aware that the true assests of the game are dying out. There seems to be a lack of integrity with how Halo is being cared for. I see all of our needs can’t be met and it’s not realistic, but I believe 343 and what they surround themselves with is poisoning the game. I do not believe they LOVE Halo, they love the prospect of it. I believe that Bungie truly wanted to end with Halo 3 but someone in the gaming industry forced them to continue. I don’t believe 343 has that genuine imagination and excitement for the game. They don’t have the fans hearts. I understand Halo extends past the games, but I built my passion FROM the games. From Master Chief. The campaign for Halo 5 was cool. But it wasn’t Halo. And it wasn’t Chief. Making an argument competitively, this game is butchered now. The weapons, the connections, the ranking system, etc. plus there was more passion in the tournaments. I see people wanting to make a quick buck is all. I see people buying in to the bigger picture rather than trying to remain true to the roots. I see a lot of negligence and laziness. I apologize for being late to the party. I do love Halo and Halo 5. But the issues are glaring now. I contributed to those problems and I hope others catch on. We need to hold those accountable at a higher standard. The Halo Standard.
