A Halo movie has been rumoured for many years, even to the point that a promotional trailer for Halo 3 was released disguised as the first 8 minutes of the Halo movie. Due to production and script issues, it never made it far. This video discusses why I think the Forward Unto Dawn online series proved that a Halo movie could work; and also speculate on the possibilities of Forward Unto Dawn 2!
ummm… The video you mentioned had nothing to do with a Halo movie nor was it even disguised as a Halo movie. It was simply a promotional series called Arms Race that was blown out of proportion to be a Halo movie teaser.
Now that being said, Peter Jackson and director Neill Blomkam have recently said they are still up for making the Halo movie that Microsoft greenlighted on them and then pulled the rug out from under their feet. But last I heard was Dreamworks had rights to it and the Original Halo movie script that was written up was then transferred to the Halo TV series.
So pretty much, we are back at square one on the Halo movie with no script, no director, no producer, a massive budget that no one is willing to tackle, and millions of fans peeing themselves in wait.
But anyways, I’d love to see something like Forward Unto Dawn or a continuation of it for Halo 5.
