You all whine and complain about a game in development and in a beta. “It’s too much like CoD!” Please…you guys are to quick to compare Halo to CoD it’s not even funny. Call Of Duty and Halo are 2 different games, no where similar to each other. Just because you have to press LT to zoom it’s automatically CoD? And you complain about the “bro moments” at the end of a match, WHO CARES? We all know Spartan-IV’S are not as disciplined as S-II’S, and what does high-fiving each other matter? It’s just a fun way of celebrating a victory, i bet if Bungie added that no one would whine. You so called “Halo fans” are not even remotely fans of this franchise if all you do is complain about a game that’s not even out yet. And i bet when Halo 5 comes out everyone will like it and all the naysayers will look back and feel like jerks. But whatever, it seems like everything that halo is must be compared to CoD, so why don’ t you all go play AW. Halo 5 and that game are “the exact same” says Halo “fans”. 343 if you read this im sorry you have to deal with these whiny people’s complaints everyday. And just so you know, I’ll play Halo no matter who makes it, instead of crying every detail and saying this company is better than that one. And if you all love bungie so much then go play Destiny, that game is doing soooo much better right now.

You are a prime example of a one-minded halo fan . I know what I want from a halo game, a fun experience that mixes the old with the new, what you want is the same copy-and-paste style where they copy the multiplayer from Halo 3, that is YOUR definition of a “pure” halo game right?

And you seemingly cannot comprehend my post. My argument is that people should stop comparing Halo 5 to cod and try it for themselves. If they played the game and said it was like cod, ok whatever, but no one has really played it yet so…your argument is in-valid. If you want a “pure” halo game, then go play halo 3, you obviously can’t understand that everyone compares this to CoD to quick and it’s really sad.

You can be a fan of CE through 3 with MCC. Might as well live it up in there, because there will never be a Halo so close to those games again. That is fine with me, so long as they stay true to the fundamentals of Halo and take a nod to those games.
343 are pressures and given the task of making Halo up to date with modern times without completely violating what Halo is.

The first halo 5 vidoc summed up halo quite nicely, even starts, map control, team work, skill. This is what makes halo, halo. Not cod with shields. I am in no way one-minded. I feel like 343 are changing the formula of what has been extremely successful for years.
Take 1+1=2 for example, this works and everyone likes it except for the majority of cod people who are idiots who cant add (not all cod fans, just the dumb ones we all know about). 343 now says that 1+1+1=2, which doesn’t work and makes people angry and dissapointed. Weird example and i hope it made sense.
Pure halo does not just mean halo 2 and 3, it means competitive games which rely on skill. 343 seems to understand that but they still insist on trying to balance a broken feature such as sprint which has proven to be game breaking in 2 halo games
1 thing though, COD is a good game. Smooth controls, fast matchmaking, all maps from map packs play with all gametypes, Lots of custom match options. COD IS competitive. I prefer the Halo5 equal starts but Load outs that anyone can pick from are just as balanced. COD is not less competitive, it is just different. Halo and Forza both play differently but are both competitive. The only random thing about COD is the carepackage, everything else is good.
I agree. Can we please let Halo evolve? It’s the same game. The irony is if the game didn’t change at all, everyone would still b*tch it’s like CoD in the fact it’s the same game every time

> Well, cod has loadouts, perks killstreaks, a different weapon system and a different map design. Halo 5 has equal starts, weapons on map, no perks, no kill streaks, arena map design, completely different weapon system. Things like thruster existed in halo before cod, and the slide, charge and ground pound were shown BEFORE we knew cod was going to have them, so how is it copying? I won’t lie though, sprint and clambering hurt the game, but sprint has been in halo for a while this isn’t some out of nowhere mechanic. The game isn’t cod with shields at all, it’s taking the old formula and adding too it, rather than out right changing it like they did with 4.

That’s why when everyone asked to go back to arena style, they said no right? Oh wait, the opposite happened.
Yes some whine and complain, But that’s anything in life… But for the most part I don’t take it as that… I take it as a community that really cares about the halo series. Everything from single player, to MP, and even the lore.
I’m not saying I want Halo 5 to be COD, I’m saying that COD is a good game. I prefer equal starts no load outs but that doesn’t mean load outs are unfair/ unbalanced. COD plays differently from Halo but it is still a competitive game. People hate on COD because its cool. I know you will quote some “pro” argument against COD. Here is another shock: Halo 4 is good. Personal ordinance was a mistake, but there is many gametypes without it now.
