This will be more or less a rant and a plea to the community. No TL;DR here. Read it or don’t.
I have been a member of the Halo community since the very first game. I was there when the game was being tested as not an FPS but a RTS. I was there when the E3 demo of Halo 2 was released and we were in awe of the new features. I was there for Halo 3 and ODST, played the beta and gobbled up the hype of the live action trailers and teasers. And I was there for Reach Bungie’s final rendition of the game that redefined console shooters. That being said there is one overarching problem with this entire series. The community.
This can be attributed to the fact that, in general, people are jerks. However, it has been seen that when a new feature, weapon, game, what have you is released the community throws caution to the wind and jumps on the hate bandwagon. Never has there been a time when the community has banded together and stood up against the hate.
Take note that I am only referring to PreLaunch hating. It’s perfectly understandable that not everyone will like the game AFTER it is released. But take a minute and think here. We only have information based on 2nd parties. Someone who saw it, a journalist, a screen shot. No hard evidence or specific information and most certainly NO GAMEPLAY. Everyone should take a minute and digest this. We have seen VERY little gameplay, and what we have seen really does not tell us anything other than basic information.
What does this mean?
Don’t hate. Don’t worry. Don’t complain.
The game is still in development, undergoing testing, and top secret. Be patient. We will find out the answer to all of our questions very soon. =]
In the mean time, why not engage in CONSTRUCTIVE discussion? Talk about things you’d like to see without bashing what little information we know. Wait until you have played the game to pass judgement.
I thank you for reading. =]

Finally a new kid who isn’t on here to spread butthurt try hard poision throughout the forum. Not trying to offend just sick of the hate hate hate the sompetitive community seems to spew at every opportunity.
I thank you for reading.]
Well, I’m not really new, just new to these forums. I consider myself to be a more competitive halo player. Not so much with Reach… but with the others I definitely was.
The community just needs to simmer down. :3
> Don’t hate. Don’t worry. Don’t complain.
People STILL post this garbage?
Pro tip: If people see or read something they dislike, they have every right to question or criticize it.
Deal with it.

Thank you for furthering my point. It’s pointless to say something is game breaking or awful when you haven’t even seen footage of what you are complaining about.
i am just like you sir. i have never been negative on this forum or about any halo. the one thing that i hated about Reach was armor lock and that is taken care of.

I don’t need to see it. I don’t care how 343 implemented it. All I care about is whether the terrible mechanics exist in the game or not.

This is what we call being blind. You don’t know, as of right now, how these mechanics work at all. There is absolutely no reason to complain. You don’t know what changes to the mechanics that are “terrible” have been made. If any. If they exist in the final product, go ahead, complain all you like.

what are you calling terrible mechanics? this mechanics are, or i believe to be, top of the line ,so again why are you spewing hatred about a game that is still being perfected

Bloom.
AAs.
Long kill times.
And any other gimmick(s).
I’d think they were top of the line too if I sucked at Halo and needed crutches.
not worshiping, but respecting what they have done, and what they are doing to HALO 4. i have faith, which you dont, in 343

bloom: i dont think there is bloom.
AA: took out armor lock, others are suppose to be balanced.
kill times: dont know about this one, so show me proof and i will believe you on this one. still, i dont think that matter much. if you hate what they are doing, DONT BUY THE GAME, HATER

- Bloom was supposedly confirmed in the other thread.
- The BR is supposedly a 5SK, when normally it’s a 4SK. Kill times got increased yet again.
- I’ll buy the game, but I’m not touching multiplayer.
People have the immediate tendency to burst with rage whenever something doesn’t sound good on paper, so they right it off quickly before considering or experiencing it first hand.
Some just simply find it easier to complain about things they don’t like versus the good.
> Worshipping 343 = blind.
Right. Because I totally said that I worship every decision that 343 makes…
Way to infer something that wasn’t said. Patience is a useful skill learn it.
