I’m not a pro player by any stretch of the imagination, but I have been playing since the launch of CE. I took a hiatus from Halo and video games in general while living in Mongolia for two years to serve a service mission for my church and during the first years of college. I didn’t return to the franchise until Halo Reach, and have largely been disappointed with the games since Halo 3.However, I have been even more unimpressed with what the community has grown into. T
he Halo community is going to kill the franchise with the increasing toxicity and entitled behavior that grows on a seemingly daily basis. Halo 5 is not only a great game, but a great Halo game. People need to give it an honest chance. If not, expect Microsoft to give us a bigger middle finger than Halo 4 was and to forsake the community and possibly even the franchise in general forever. Yes, the game needs tweaks, and we are desperate for a return to form for the franchise, but for the love of God, have an open mind.
I agree. People should keep an open mind. People hate the features of this game so readily before fully understanding what they can do and how they work.
People have had open minds in the past but there’s a lack of listening from the developers. There’s nothing wrong with giving feedback and disliking something from a gameplay perspective. That’s why we have a beta.

Of course there’s nothing wrong with that. It is how the community projects the complaints of that game if it even is a complaint that everyone agrees with. They can be so immature and honestly seem to be the the stereotypical cod community, which disgusts me.
If it dies let it die, its inevitable that change, or a lack of it will kill a franchise, doesn’t matter if its trying to claw its way out or silently gets sucked into the abyss, or even how long it takes, all franchises die, its inevitable, I like halo, but its not going to go on forever

Thank you. Sadly its not just this community. Its too easy for people to get online and post a bunch of negative crap without any consequences these days. I read a post just a few minutes ago by someone that was upset that someone else gave positive feedback about the things they liked. Social media at its best.

Fans are being ignored by developers still after 2 bad games. Can you see where the frustration comes from?

How are they being ignored. You people -Yoink- about everything. They’ve addressed the vast majority of complaints. If you don’t like the curernt game, then play Halo 2 or 3 for -Yoink- sake.

I had that open mind you speak of when Halo 4 came out. I bought it on day 1.

Played 2 matches. After going back to Halo 2 and playing without Sprint the last 2 months, I refuse to go back to a game with it. After the 2 matches, I went back to H2A, and it was infinitely better.
I don’t care how balanced it is; Sprint isn’t fun.

We still have sprint. Sprint with the shields and the long kill times do not work together. And just because we don’t want sprint doesn’t mean we want a carbon copy of Halo 2 or 3. There are a lot of different ways to make add new content without messing with the core concept of the game.

Fair enough, though the kill times in Halo have never been faster than in 5. Sprint does nearly nothing to prevent one from getting killed quickly.
I’m fine with people providing info about things they don’t like in Halo 5… Just do it constructively. All I see are bunch of kids ranting and trash talking… like that’s gonna fix any issue… and that’s what annoys me.

Yes, but doing so only shows others the lack of self control over problems in games. We now get a bad rep due to those who decided it would be a good idea to shove down death threats down the developer’s throats. Not exactly something that I like about our community, despite the developer’s inexcusable mistakes.
