Hello everyone.
For those of you who have twitter/seen UH’s video on the community, that pretty much scratches the surface of what is actually happenining. There has been some major changes, and some channels have just completely given up. If you know know Spartani99 (creator of Halo Unity), he has completely left the Halo scheme. He no longer has his Twitter profile and has stopped uploading to this channel.
Now this is to clear things up. It was a small bit of banter, which led to an argument between a few members of the Halo collective and Halo unity, which was eventually resolved a few weeks ago. Spartani99 in a result left the community, and along with it also shut down Halo unity. But there are more and more great Halo YTbers that have been thinking about giving up as well, and some already have, because they’re fed up with us, as a community, because we aren’t simply using common sense anymore. We criticise to a point where it’s not criticism, and it becomes just annoying. Now most of you guys aren’t like that, but some are and just don’t understand things before they give their opinion, which sometimes gives a blow to whoever’s channel it is’ confidence. So we need to start acting more of a community and to start looking a bit more towards the positive side. I know Halo 5 isn’t the best, but it’s improving slowly, and it’s not going to help if we’re just criticising every little thing.

I was a part of Halo 3 community back in the days. So I remember how great halo community was then.

what it was back then doesnt really matter much today. we gotta take what we have and move forward. whining and living in the past helps no one. Focus on what you love about 5, and i bet they will make more of that.
I remember the CS community when source came out, seem like the halo 4 story, and now lots of people are back with CS:GO. And seem to be the case with halo 5 as well.

I on the other hand wish some people would understand that we Halo2-3 guys, as you so gently put it, do not opppse change, but dislike the current direction it is changing in.
I don’t dislile/hate change, I dislike the change we’ve been given. Huge difference.
OT: I’ve never been much of a social media person, and never followed any halo youtuber or twitter.
It’s howevee sad to hear that big profiles in Halo are quitting or are thinking of quitting. Ubfortunately I don’t think there’s much to do about it. The community members who are horrible will continue to be so untill they get tired of it, or are forced to quit, which I don’t see happening.

It really is a case of a few bad apples ruin a bunch.
All you need to say is that H2 and H3 players don’t like change and that H4 and H5 players Blindly love 343, these two instances are used in almost every argument and it just completely derails the point of a topic.
We can say 343 screwed up Halo and beg for old Bungies return, but if the community doesn’t sort itself out there wont be a community for 343 or any other dev to make a Halo game for.
you know why there is always so much negativity?
Because everyone who is happy with the game is playing it.
Also ive played all the halo games and still have them all i remember when CE was such a huge change in gaming but i like the way 343i has moved the game forward theyve added and changed things and the new feel of the game is nice. they made changes that kept the core but improved on it. and they need to cant wait to see whats in store for halo 6.
Hey thanks for those you tubers, have subscribed to a couple. It is a shame that the community is always having rows but it’s only because we all want an epic game out of it, every body here loves halo and loves it for different reasons. Those reasons tend to clash.
Well the best way to help the community is being positive. Supporting content creators. And spreading around.
I recommend using the Halo Community Hub I made.(ps any suggestions are welcome, soon the thread will be stickied hopefully) This ultimately starts the building of bridges for the community to expand.
If you were cureious I got Halo Archive and Halopedia, also hopefully Halo Nation(the message gets to the admins there) to update. And hopefully a lot more to follow.
