The Halo Campaign camera issue /PC

So far all my campaign missions have been alright, excluding when I had to fight Decimus for the first time. The moment he showed up my camera zoomed in and stayed like that until I defeated him. I didn’t bother me that much as it was only for a few minutes until I moved on to the next mission, but now that I am at The Halo mission, it’s zoomed in like this from the start, and it’s so difficult to play as you can’t do anything, not to mention you can’t even see the air units, that’s how zoomed in it is.

I tried starting the mission from the start, going back to an old save, restarting the game, nothing seems to be fixing the problem. I played with the Camera settings as well, didn’t work.

Does anyone have a solution to this because I really want to finish the campaign, but it’s impossible with this issue?

So, super random late response. I just started playing this with the game pass for PC. I’ve had this problem and the camera did the same thing in those instances. I saw an article for Halo Wars Definitive edition and you have to use a combination of the right alt key and use the scroll wheel to zoom in and out. You can also use the mouse to rotate the camera. I don’t know why this couldn’t be found in the settings, but that is the solution. O.o I hope others can find this thread with ease.

I ran into this issue back in '18 and decided I wouldn’t go further in the campaign b/c of this issue. Thanks @Kainitsu for your decision to answer that first question. It helped me out in 2020!
