I recall hearing someone saying “there are still six more Halo’s out there primed and ready to fire, there’s always more to do for Halo’s story.” This got me thinking.
What I am wondering is, did everyone completely forget about the Halos’ fail-safe protocol wherein which the Halos are set into standby status. Then, they can only be activated from remote distance: The Ark. So, that being, if we ever head to a point where we have to activate a Halo or something, we’d have to go to the Ark.
That… or someone/something else will go to the Ark…
Of course, there is also the point in which people say “Remember? Halo 3 we destroyed the Ark with the Halo silly!” When in actuality, if I recall correctly, I believe it was the Ark sustained high amount of damage, but wasn’t actually destroyed. (Halo 3 Special edition commentary or something?)

Also, yes, I know about ONI finding another Halo, but it doesn’t change much except advance their tech. Enough of my ramblings though, what are your thoughts on this?
