Is just a variation of the Protector armor.
So why did they change the name?
For the same reason that Deadeye has the same body as Fotus, and Locus has AA, and Scanner has Solider. Why not just add another skin to the armor?

Can’t say I’m surprised. They use the same human assets for every map in fact I think I’ve even seen legit forge assets in our non forge arena maps.
To be honest I don’t know. I mean why not call it Protector HCS?
Its a common enough thing among game developers. Dont fix what isn’t broken.

I don’t remember anything like this being said about the Champion armor (which is just a reskinned Athalon set).

To be fair, the HCS armor from then was called Athlon Champion. This armor is just called Challenger, not Protector Challenger.

ehh its free and i probably won’t use it except for the emblem for right now… not a big deal to me.
The armor is absolutely fugly. I’d love to take the HCS emblem and put it on my armor like they did with the challenger.

It’s still the same armor with a different skin lol. Could care less about a different description if they can’t model it even a little different except for coloring
