So I want to hear your opinion and I hope that you are going to explain your opinion.
I played the Halo 5 Campaing after it was released, I played with 3 people and I enjoyed it. After that I played it twice, both times solo.(normal/legendary). And after that I played with a friend to get all achievements, we got them all in the first 4 weeks after the game was released.
So my problem is, there is nearly nothing that makes me want to play the campaign again. The only reason why I would want to play it again sometimes, is to play it on legendary with 3 friends and thats all.
The story isnt great enough for more than 3 or 4 replays and the gameplay isnt so exciting anymore.
Why ???
Well in my opinion the way the campaing progress is too forced. There is nothing to explore, there is always someone talking and or something happens so you should progress with the mission. There are no weakly challenges and so on. And you there arent any rewards for you, if you play the campaing.
I played all Halos and I would play everyone of them again if my friends would ask me to play it with them, and I would enjoy it. I would invite a friend and play with him Halo 2 and so on. Even though I replayed all the campaings more than a hundred times…
I wouldn t have a problem to replay Halo 4 again (even though I don t like the story …).
There is something that makes the Halo 5 campaing unreplayable, at least for me.
How about you ?
I think Halo 5 actually has some good replay value. Legendary Weapons, skulls and mission intel scattered around the map is a really nice touch. The multiple paths to traverse and multiple ways to confront enemies is also a really great to see. Some parts are really linear and flat and cramped, but they stand as an improvement to some of the things in Halo 4. You’ve got to give credit where credit is due.
The only reason I can’t personally touch the campaign again is thanks to the awful story and boring environments/level design of some levels. The campaign would have been perfect if it’s story hadn’t been a complete step backwards from Halo 4’s excellent story and if they increased the variety of some of the missions. There’s some good in Halo 5’s campaign but it’s let down by a poor story and some really shallow moments.
No legendary reward of course I was mislead because in nearly every other game you get something cool. Not this one no armor or cool things even emblem. Just two seconds of a pic of a ring and a ferry faint sound of humming. What are they going to do bring back guilty spark after he has been lasered, blown up and then blown up again by a ring? Please at least halo 3 had an interesting cliffhanger.

I do like the approach of multiple ways. Its best suited for legendary solo or for having fun with your friends. What I also like is that the campaing had big places, where you could have a lot of fun, but either you kill the enemys too fast or you have to stay behind and kill them from the distance. The balancing of bigger places should be reconsidered, so you could use it like in Halo 3 where you are riding mongoses with bazooka marines on the back.
I do agree on the story problems, in my Opinion the Spartans also shouldn t talk to much nonsense so you don t try to concentrate on what they are saying. Because there is a lot of background story they are talking about while you try to fight the covenant or the promethans.
And one thing that I really miss, are the marines. I want them to return, I want real Halo marines from the older games, because neither are the marines from Halo 4 funny nor are the ones from Halo 5 (even though they arent really marines but citizens from meridian).

I wish they would have at least kept the par time and par score achievements in as well. Also it’s not like I ever played through the other games campaigns over and over… multiplayer was and always will.be what keeps most playing a game.
Eh, I don’t know. I went back and got all the collectibles in the campaign and I was fine with it. The only reason I haven’t gone back and gotten the rest of the achievements is because multiplayer is too addicting.

I can understand you, I mean its the same for me when it comes to other games like BF3 or any COD game, I would only play it once. But the Halo campaings in the past where designed to be played more than one time, since not everybody had Xbox Live. A great multiplayer is always aweosome but a Halo campaing shouldn t be just a great story you would only play once. At least thats what I think.
I personally dont think any halo campaign had replay value, you beat it once then did it again on legendary for the achievement, other then that its for the skulls (in halo 5’s case skulls and intel) its what I did in other halos its what I did in 5.
