Halo 4 is a great game but I would like to say that I am dissapointed with the current Halo 4 stats page. As someone who has been tracking my Halo stats since the days of Halo 2, I was expecting more. I actually think Halo Waypoint’s Reach stats (which were decent) are far better than the Waypoint Halo 4 stats.
Halo 4’s stats page is missing stuff that even Bungie’s Halo 3 stats page had.
Halo 4’s stats page is missing or does poorly the following things:
Does not have a dedicated medals page that allows you to have not only an organized look at what medals you have but also to see what medals you are missing.
The Game history section is just flat out terrible. Only has 5 games a page (Reach’s stats have 25 a page) and they don’t even have a page counter that allows you to skip pages like Bungie does for Halo 2 and Halo 3.
Does not have a stats, medals, and weapon kills/deaths per playlist section (even Waypoint’s Reach stats atleast had the stats per playlists).
You can’t compare stats with other people
You can’t even look at other people’s stats in depth.
Stats and medals per map.
There are more things I could add to this list but I think these are enough to get the point across.
You nailed it man. Waypoint stat tracking is shockingly horrible. Unresponsive, doesn’t update, doesn’t show comprehensive breakdowns in one easy to view and read page, and on and on. If this is the format they landed on I shudder to think of what they rejected. How was this ever seen as an improvement? Really, really disappointed. And no Perfection medal?! Ridiculous.
I wouldn’t know what the Halo 4 stats page looks like because I am apparently the only person I know that can’t see them (error Code 6D59241F-8CF7-48CF-9483-0C9A61D0F585) Can I post this here?
I came to this part of the forum especially to bring this up. I love keeping track of not only my own stats, but my friends too - including my brother. I have no idea why we can’t look at detailed break downs like with the Reach section. Reach was absolutely fine minus a few things here and there, but this is a large step backwards. I like to compare medals and weapons to other people as well as just keep track of my own. Now I can’t even see their total weapon kills/medals nor kills/medals per playlist. In addition, the game history in Reach (and Halo 3) allowed a full breakdown of each game - total kills, with what weapons, medals etc. This doesn’t even exist for Halo 4.
OP hit the nail on the head. A response from 343 regarding the bare boned nature of the stats page would be much appreciated!
It could also be a bit more responsive. I have to wait to click stuff. Some stuff can’t be clicked on. Mouse wheel scrolling stuff is a chore. I get that they want to make it more immersive by making it not look like a web site, but instead, something more like you would see in game. It doesn’t work though. We need functionality first.
I don’t like when things are made all shiney and new and then don’t work at all… It’s like they put more work into making it look “super cool” when they needed to make it functional. If you’re going to give us a stats page that doesn’t accurately track our stats and accomplishments then don’t give us one at all.
They spent more time on the lousy interface than putting useful stats.
This does not need to be interactive. Just put me a load of great stats in a html table and I’ll be happy.
I need :
Per playlist detailed stats.
Compare stats per playlist. Now the comparison includes CUSTOM GAMES, WTF !!! I mean what is that? I go to custom when I need to test some things with my friends !
And I won’t even talk about DNF detection tracking. I’ve got 12 DNF and I never quit a single game. Messes up my win/loss ratio real bad. ( https://dl.dropbox.com/u/13765392/halo%204.PNG for proof)
Yeah, 343 really need to call up Bungie and ask how to make a decent statistics page, because bungie.net was perfection compared to this, I was so shattered when it went dormant…
But surely 343 must be aware of the community’s response to their new stats page by now, and are making changes, if not I believe a cavalry charge may be in order?
They seem to lack a sense of what the community wants even when many have giving input.
Most players want a plain simple user interface website to see their stats and other player stats that they have played against.
You can compare stats with other players and you can also view other player’s service records.
From the app, tap on the Barracks (Friends List) in the top right corner. In the search box, enter the gamertag that you’re interested in and press enter.
The player card for that gamer will show. You can click “All Stats” to view their Service Record, or “Compare” to compare stats with them.
Regarding other things that you’ve mentioned - like viewing even more stats from another player, a dedicated medals area, global stats by playlist and stats by weapon - we don’t have anything to share about this at the moment, but we definitely hear you. We understand that these were beloved features in the Halo: Reach area on Waypoint.
And finally: If you’re seeing errant DNFs in your stats records, please reply and let us know. We’ll take a look. Include the direct URL to your game details.
Thank you for your feedback. This is really just the beginning for Halo 4 Stats. Be sure to keep an eye on BS Angel’s updates for the latest on what’s next for Halo 4 Stats.

I am glad your team is aware of this. I always enjoyed that part of the statistics. Keep up the good work!

From the app, tap and who said anything about an app and touch? Then you people say you are listening.
The whole website is being designed for a Windows 8 user interface, but what about Windows 7 and under.

What about people who don’t use Internet Explorer 8? Waypoint barely loads on Safari, and incompletely loads in Firefox with multiple errors and unloaded sections.
Get rid of this flashy Javascript crap. 343 upgraded their stats section and website by making it look good over making it functional, like a typical Microsoft update. Make this is a functional website and give us detailed stats like Bungie did. Many of them worked there; they know what they took away.
I have beat Halo 4 Co-Op Legendary but on my stats page I have no credit for it I know i completed it all because I got the achievement for it. I have the same problem with Spartan OPS. stats
It is sad that i say this but this lack of a good tracker is why people went over to halocharts back in the day.
What i would love to see is if waypoint staff could make there tracker little and fast then may it like halocharts nothing crazy. But i am really mad at the fact that you can see your kills and kd but you cant see the number of deaths you have.
> I agree. It keeps making me the default spartan (red recruit with blue visor) instead of my awesomely customized spartan. Bugs me a bit.
This i think is just a bug on the server give the site 24-48 hours and at the most a week then check back.see if it works then if not report it here as a bug to the staff.
