I was thinking (something I do a bit-well about Halo 4 anyway)with the lack of Brutes in Halo 4, what happens to the Gravity Hammer? I mean, what will happen to Grifball? Maybe a Promethean replacement for the weapon? Or is this the end of the Grav Hammer? Am I the only one who gives a damn about this?!!
Has this already been discussed?
Oh well, I personally don’t like the G Hammer but i don’t want the option of it taken away from me
there’s still the golf club…
and maybe 343 can put more sports gear into halo… like a Baseball Bat, or a Tennis Racket

This has been discuss before.
I think 343i said they weren’t going to get rid of grifball. I look for them to use golf clubs instead of hammers since they pretty much do the same thing.
343i confirmed no Brutes?!?!
This immediately makes the campaign less enjoyable for me. They were the best in Halo 3 and had iconic weapons and vehicles.

Even if Brutes aren’t in, I still think the Grav Hammer will still be in.

Why?

just for Griffball’s sake
Has it been confirmed there are no Brutes in Halo 4? If so, link?

The Brutes in Halo 3 were nothing but giant gorilla bullet sponges.

Grifballs sake as the other dude said, and the brute forces are pretty much dead with no prophet because of the Elites return on Halo 3 and the intro of Halo 4! So Elites could possibly have Brute weaponry (I personally think).
343 confirmed ages ago that Grifball will be playable in Halo 4. They were a bit vague on the return of the Grav Hammer, but from their wording a suitable replacement can be expected if it doesn’t.
Also, Franky posted this in the most recent bullitin…
> One particular game mode that has a cult following may end up with a mainstream breakout because of the features Kevin Franklin and the MP team have added to it to make it “legit.” More on that later.
While he was deliberately vague (and I’m probably wrong), I immediately thought about Grifball maybe receiving an official ‘GriffBall Hammer’, or GriffBall armor pieces, or some such themed awesomeness like that.

most likely
because they don’t fit the Storm Covie thingy
From the sound of things there is no Gravity Hammer or equivalent. Apparently Grifball is getting alterations.

Bullet sponges? Brutes are just dumber counterparts to Elites. You want a bullet sponge? You should fight Halo 2’s Brutes.

But storyline wise it makes no sense for them to return. First of all the Human-Covenant war is over. And the Elites you face in the game are not from the Original Covenant. They are rogue Elites that formed a group. And the Elites hate Brutes alot, more than they hate humans, so they wouldn’t allow Brutes to team up with them anyways. Not to mention the Elites are at war with Brutes. Read/Watch Halo: The Return.
Brutes have neither been confirmed or denied.

In the story mode is there ever a giant golf club used? No. Doesn’t mean it wasn’t in MP.
Just because the Brutes aren’t in Halo 4 doesn’t mean the Infinity can’t train with their weapons. Also, when was it announced that the Brutes weren’t in?

Halo 2’s Brutes were great. That’s how Brutes should be.

They just stood there and looked at/rushed you while taking bulllets. They are an incredibly poor replacement for Elites, who were actually agile.
