The Halo 4 forums:How do you feel about the "state" They're in?

Title says it all.

By “state” I mean the kind of threads people make on this every day.There’re always at least that “one” thread that talks about wanting Halo 4 to be COD, hating Halo4 to be COD,wanting an idea in Halo 4,bringing up the Halo 4 info 343i has given us The Halo 4 gameinformer issue, Halo 4 gameplay, the Halo 4 podcast, the Halo 4 Conan show , etc.

The forums is a place to express your ideas , I know that.That’s one of the reasons the moderators isn’t locking up every (comparing) COD to Halo 4 threads they can see.You want to discusss something here, okay.You want to make a thread here telling that Halo is the next COD, becoming COD, ripping offf COD, okay(even though I 100%disagree with those.),okay.This is not all a huge “hate” thread made to "drive’ those kind of threads out of the Halo4 forums.Alright, by stating all that, I hoped I cleared some confusion out there about the purpose of the thread.

The purpose of this thread is just what this title says.No hidden words or anything, no small print , nothing.

Really, I’m a bit sick of seeing these forums every day.Always, that same kind of forum.Until a H4 beta comes out or the game itself is realeased, though, I doubt it will ever stop.It’s just something I have to put up with every day(and yes, I know I can ignore those"threads").[/li][/list]

  • However, don’t mistake me for thinking that EVERY thread in this forum compares Halo to COD.There’s the occasional (I think? not really sure)good threads that does not compare H4 to COD in any way or critizes Halo changes and such,just explain good ideas, like THIS, and then some really “bad” threads that would get the OP “Flamed or Trolled”.I mean seroiusly, COD INVENTED WAR(yes, that’s the thread name)?

But enough of all that:

Really, how do YOU feel about these #### forums?

(All this is my opinion, not facts.And yes , I have read the COD INVENTED WAR thread, and know it’s true purpose.)

Honestly i agree. Everytime i see a thread saying something other than those mentioned above, it often dies quickly. All the threads i have created about “Community ideas for halo 4” died in less than an hour. While the “Halo=CoD” threads seem to last forever.

It just gets annoying honestly. Very few people actually want to discuss things about halo 4 without arguing about things we know nothing about. It ticks me off. On no thread can i have a decent converstaion without a completely biased and opinionated argument starting.

Halo 4 is going to be what it is going to be. Unless we actually work toghter for once we wont change anything. If we keep arguing amongst ourselves over opinions, then we will never get anywhere.

Guys, if we want to move forward, we have to get along.

I feel like I did when I was on bnet that halo fans are becoming worse than the sonic complainers in the sonic fanbase.

I’m a little disheartened at some of the lack of faith, but I just think of it like this. Storm before the calm (some know it as calm before the storm). I tell myself that this is the storm, the calm and “clear skies” will be back sometime. But I still believe there will be at least one more big “storm” before Halo 4’s release.

Yeah, something tells me that’s it’s going to be at or after E3 or Halo Fest :confused:

Ah yeah, I agree with ya 100%.It’s getting to the point where we need to create another forum titled:Halo 4 Ideas, beacasue so many of these COD=Halo4 threads are popping up.

I feel fine about the ‘state’ of H4.

I feel less than enthusiastic about the Waypoint Forum posts re: it.

The big “storm” will be the ranking system, not much else could work the forums up that much, well unless they came out and said they copied another game. Car companies do it all the time with features and such, oh well, i guess all we can do is report and try to remain positive.

The state of the forums is a mess, i have remarked about it a few times now, i ended up getting a 3 day vacation from the forums for defending someone, so i said screw it. Just going to sit back and watch it burn.

This is the kind of thing that happens on every game forum. The only thing is that there is a lot of anxiety in this forum as we wait for Halo 4 since it’s a new company and people notice how many changes are being made to Halo.

You know, I never though of it like that.

But still,I seen a thread or two made from brand new members, talking about the sad state that our forums were in.(They got flamed fortunatly).
Unfortuneatly, they Are right.Our forum(H4 one, the other ones are in the green), is just sad.Few good ideas like THIS
ever pop up.Instead, it’s just the threads comparing COD to H4 that you seee daily.
Well, it’ll all end in about 6 months though…

Hate the CoD = Halo threads?

There wouldn’t be any if 343 made a Halo game instead of an obvious CoD ripoff.

Just something to keep in mind.

So far, nobody’s suprised that a COD INVENTED WAR thread existed here.

Also, one peron like’s the state they’re in, but didn’t bother posting, knowing that that’ll be flamebait…
