The Halo 4 & 5 Pelican

Now im not usually one to voice my opinion about things i know wont be changed but i mean hell, in my opinion the halo 4 & 5 versions of pelican are just down right ugly and a step back for me in terms of design, the front of the pelican is my main point of discussion as it for me was the thing i liked about the older version and the fact that the cockpit and the troop bay of the vehicle are no longer connected?! I’m just voicing my opinion here but i just plain dont like the new pelican series, im sure im not the only one with this opinion but heres a link to what I think that the pelican should of looked like, not sure who created the concept but it is awesome as hell!

Lore reason: UNSC got hold of some Huragok who made upgrades to UNSC gear. The new one is likely the mass production version of the upgrade.

IDK they look fine! But I want them in Forge FFS!

It was in one of the Karen Traviss novel’s. Kilo-Five got their hands on one from The Covenant splinter group I believe and kept it on their ONI Stealth ship where it pretty much upgraded everything on board including their Pelican. If I remember correctly it was able to give it a Slipspace drive and stealth capabilities?

This is correct. The UNSC/ONI also got hold of a bunch of original Forerunner Huragok made by the Huragok in the Dyson sphere Treyvalyn who help upgrade a lot of UNSC hardware (and I would assume design blueprints of versions of Forerunner enhanced UNSC armament capable of being mass produced by the UNSC). Though as of 2553 they are still top secret.

The new style isn’t that bad… I personally like it. But if they drew more influence from the classic design I think it would look better.

Is this another thread about hating Halo 5 due to minutiae? Technology changes constantly in the real world. Blackhawks from the first Gulf War have upgraded and redesigned in a lot of areas when they would go onto serve in Afghanistan and Iraq.

The only issue with it is that the holding section seems too small to hold more than 3-4 people. Other than that, I’m okay with the new design.

And it’s no surprise that after four and a bit years the Pelican designed has improved and become more sturdier. However the Scorpion Tank still hasn’t improved, what with it’s old archaic illogical manually operated front machine gun… And the Warthogs of which offer no Overhead protection.

I like the H4/5 version better tbh.

The Halo 2 Anniversary is the best in my opinion, they should’ve used that design since it looks quite different from the Halo 2 Classic design, it looks modern and improved

Have to agree with the OP, hated the halo 4 version from the moment I saw it, it looks like a children toy.

Go back to the Halo 3 version please.

I think its a fairly solid design, but not as good as h3 or Reach
