I had some epic times on halo 3. Its a damn shame the way halo 3 has died.
At least halo 2 had a noble death, unplugged, and being played to the last second.
I fear halo reach will have the death of halo 3 after halo 4 is released.

I love Halo 3. Every month or so I go back to it. Or if I have nothing to do in Reach (which doesn’t happen all that often)

Reach was the first Halo game I ever owned, but I have the Mythic disk that came with ODST and play that fairly often (usually when I’m done with all of the challenges and just want to mix things up a bit). I LOVE Halo 3 and wish that I had an Xbox earlier, so I could have played it in its prime!

Netcode upgrades, map/playlist updates, and bugs and glitches need Fixing.

Halo 2/3 community > Halo Reach’s.
Reach is just a trashy game that frustrates players and they take out their frustration on other players.
I don’t expect Halo CEA to have any lasting positive affect on the Reach community which will continue to dwindle.

I agree. I think this game is still worthy of being on the top 5 XBOX LIVE games.
It’s sold over 3 billion copies world wide, best selling game ever.
Halo 3 was cool.
It wasn’t as chaotic and crazy as CE or memorable as Halo 2 but it was cultural heaven. When it was in its prime, Party Chat never existed and Players would talk in the lobbies and in-game. Some would be obnoxious but that was the fun of it all.
Custom Games were creative and Halo 3 remains to be a key-point in the Machinima Culture. Hell most Halo Machinima Directors of this age are inspired by Dues Ex Machina, The Forgotten Spartans, Matchmaking, Pre-Game Lobby and Arby and The Chief.
Now with Halo: Reach being the most recent Halo Title, all focus and attention goes to that. I find Halo: Reach to be a mixture of sorts between Halo: CE and Halo 2’s Gameplay. With Anniversary coming up, its gonna be hectic. Sorry Guys but I’m afraid I’ll abuse the Needler in Matchmaking >:)
I still play Halo 3 time to time to remember the good times I had with my friends. I’ve left that group now. The only person from the old group who remains as much as a Halo Fan as I am is Moa (The Little Moa)
Its a shame Halo 3 became like this but at least its better then Halo 2 Online. It doesn’t exist

Halo 4 already has over 100,000 preorders. I’m expecting it to shatter previous Halo’s initial sales quite quickly. Perhaps the life will come back then. But for now, we watch this…

Especially since CoD is coming to the end of it’s prime as well. A lot of people are excited to see how Halo is going to make it’s comeback.
Don’t worry people so as I max out my rank in Reach I’ll be getting back to Halo 3 since the original trilogy had the best multiplayer.
