The gun I thought of having in Halo 4 would be a gun that is a somewhat a cross between the Sniper and Splazer.

It would be a gun that shoots out visible waves of light at a Vehicle, but you would have to Keep the beam of light on the vehicle for about 5 Seconds. After 5 seconds of ‘painting’ the vehicle it should kill the occupant (by frying his brain or something) of the vehicle and leave it undamaged. It should also have a x5 & x10 scope and an EMP effect after killing the driver.

The light should be very visible too. The ammo would be ‘energy charge’ such as the Splazer, and would take about 20 or 25 ‘ammo’ to use a shot. It shouldn’t be able to kill infantry very effectively so it can be a dedicated vehicle killer.

Sounds like a overpowered version of a fusion rifle to me.

5 seconds is a long time to keep on a target. And the weapon really wouldn’t have any place outside of anti-vehicle so it wouldn’t fill a niche very well. It’s a cool concept to have a weapon that kills the occupants inside without harming the vehicle, but it’s not the best approach.

Do you mean the focus rifle? Because that’s what it sounds like to me.

You have to PAINT them for 5 seconds. If you miss them once, you have to start again.
BTW, not focus rifle. It’s an instant kill, it doesn’t bring down your shields at all.
