As stated in the title, the Guardians ( a mysterious presence that became the cause for many casualties in the battlefield) Need to return. I am tired of the ‘‘10 second count down/death’’ boundaries we keep getting. Invisible walls worked just as fine, also since the title of the game is Halo 5 Guardians, I would see it fit for them to not only return but to be even more deadlier than ever. Imagine playing on a Forerunner style map, and you walk past the designated play area, and then all of a sudden a giant Binary Rifle like gun shoots you dead right on the spot with pin-point accuracy and your body disintegrates, leaving no remains of you to be found. or maybe a Covenant themed map that has a partially destroyed Scarab, just out of bounds of the play area, that once you and your buddies try to pass, it blasts you with a deadly green beam of super heated plasma. So what are your thoughts on the matter? Should the Guardians return, or should the 10 sec. count down boundary remain?
i heard a lot of times in this forum the term:
“why fix something, when it’s not broken?”
i think it is alright as it is.

Maybe because it is broken, it ruins map exploration. Atleast with my suggestion, smart players can find ways around the Guardians and explore, while with the current set up, you die it you go up to high or to far out of the battlefield. and there is no way around it other than modding.

Then why get rid of the guardians in the first place? Without them, we could not have had access to things like the sandbox skull. Ten seconds is not long enough for stuff like that.

Exactly. soft boundaries were never a problem in the past, so adding “return to battlefield” boundaries were completely unnecessary.
343 is incredibly generous with the kill boundaries they put in a map. Step foot in a tiny ledge at the edge of the map? Soft kill boundary. Beach at the edge of the map that just might be a decent vantage point for a part of the map? Soft kill boundary. It’s pretty ridiculous at this point.
Soft kill boundaries offer no level exploration and should go.
Guardians were pretty neat. It’d be cool if they come back.
