Not sure if this was intended or not but after you and your team get the grunt mech down to about 3/4 or 1/2 health remaining (to the point where it starts smoking and is on fire in the front) one shot to the cockpit with a Binary rifle will kill him. Makes him a lot more manageable of an enemy
A shot with what?

Whiskey preferably…
The binary Works great for That part
A laser also has worked pretty well in my experience. Or an Ultra Wraith. But Ultra Wraiths work well on everything.

Lasers do work pretty well but I haven’t seen anything other than the binary take it out in one shot with the weak spot exposed.
Hah, tell that to the rest of the team I just played with on apex 7.
Managed to get him down way less than 3/4 and my team still couldn’t finish him off
The goblin itself isn’t bad at all, but when he’s surround by 20 knights on the beach of Apex 7, killing him comes close to impossible in the allotted time.

True it can be difficult in firefight, but this will also work in regular warzone.
Hadn’t thought of that. I’ll try it next time I play.

We’ve had this problem before too, but this tip should help, if only a bit.
The reason teas struggle on Apex 7 is because of damage split. Half of the people pile up on big hill. This is a horrible mistake. People need to fight near request station on the beach. This will draw the mech in that direction away from the knights. If that is not possible there are 4 waves of knights that spawn. If the whole team focuses down knights with vehicles/heavies after the 4th wave no more spawn. However, I’d suggest drawing him to beach request station. Faster kills and when he’s downed, the team is near the cave entrance for the hunters. There’s a lone ghost ultra that spawns. Kill it, lay into hunters and… WIN!

^This is spot on.
I played this part exactly like he describes and the final round was a breeze… I was in an Oni Scorpion and I was able to pretty much take out all waves of Knights pretty quick and then the Grunt Mech went down easy Peezy after that!
Then you are set up nice to blast the hunters in the caves
Truly the goblin isn’t Grunt Goblin isn’t that hard to take out. A few scorpions or wraiths make mincemeat out of him in short time.
