The Grunt Goblin in Halo Infinite Campaign!!!

I would love it if The Grunt Goblin would be in the Halo Infinite campaign. Because I loved them in Halo 5. Let me know your thoughts guys.

I was actually thinking about this as well, it would be amazing if we can use a Grunt Goblin in Halo Infinite.

The Grunt Goblin was amazing in Halo 5! I hope we get to use one in the Halo Infinite campaign!

Pleeease god NO. The grunt goblin made the tone of the game so silly. Halo always had a somewhat serious and gritty tone, the grunt goblin makes the tone of the game so ridiculous. Can you imagine the grunt goblin as it is in halo 3 or reach? Probably not. IMO its way too childish and doesn’t fit with the style of halo.

At best the grunt inside shouting at you like a 12 year old Halo player was immature. The goblin itself is just a Covenant mech, and a pretty intimidating one at that.

I’d like that. I think it’s likely it’ll happen too. I have a feeling Cortana is decking the Grunts out.

The most serious halo game I think was reach to be honest. Halo has always had those moments of comedy like when chief crashed the banshee on purpose. I mean Look at Sargent Johnson dude is funny as hell.

listen to grunts in almost every halo and they are running around in a panic freaking out. Even the Easter eggs in the games are corny.

Let us never forget when Cortana called Chief a barbarian because she knew more about what Halo was designed for due to being in the system and absolutely did NOT share the information with our expensively geared up ‘cave man’ of a soldier lol.

Think it’s safe to say halo is serious but also corny at times which makes it enjoyable and not so serious. I mean isn’t halo the game that pretty much capitalize tea bagging? I mean even halo reach had a headshot confetti with kids yelling with the grunts in firefight hahahaha. If you ask me that’s pretty much the polar opposite of serious.

At least you get the good old xbox live feeling with the grunt inside.

Yeah, even in the darkest of Halo games, there was always a touch of humor to be found regularly.

Can we not? In fact, can we just can everything from Halo 5 and pretend it never happened?

I’m mixed about this. On the one hand, Grunt Goblins are pretty fun to fight and could really keep the campaign interesting and challenging. On the other, one of my biggest questions about Halo in-lore from the start has been why the Covenant trust and depend upon Ungoy to even use weapons like the Fuel Rod and Plasma Launcher… Why would they give Grunts battle mechs when they could give them to much more competent Brutes or Elites?

Grunts have always occupied a humorous niche in Halo, and I’ve seen the Goblin as an extension of that, as a tongue in-cheek way for Spartans to train in the Warzone Firefight simulations. I didn’t think that the UNSC was basing the Goblins off of any actual Covenant arsenal.

It’ll be interesting to see what they do with it. I’m open-minded, but the Grunt Goblins are a bit silly even by the established ridiculousness of Grunts in Halo.

They look at grunts as throwaways. Its easier to give the suicide bomber the strong weapons to “send them out, with a bang”
Terrible pun…

To the topic, I’d think it would be cool to have. I find the argument saying its “silly” kinda dumb being you can turn on a skull that makes their heads explode in confetti and scream like 7 year olds at a birthday party

Interesting idea, although something would have to be set in place to make taking it out easier as the warzone addition is designed to be taken down by multiple players.

It’s not making the game ridiculous, the grunt has always been a somewhat silly character/enemy with the silly voice and all, I like the prospect of a power-hungry grunt that got its hands on a power suit, I feel like that’s how a grunt would actually act when given that power.

I see what you’re saying, but you’re referring to a campaign skill that isn’t canonical. It isn’t actually lore accurate that Grunt heads explode with confetti, but it would be lore accurate if they put a Grunt Goblin in the campaign.

I like the idea, delving into “secondary” characters makes you love more the story

They do explain this. The Ungoy gained the respect of the whole Covenant during the Grunt Rebellion. They started to be treated better, got better weapons and higher positions.

Make these arnt your average grunts hahaha maybe they got top of the class in grunt infantry hahahaha. They are cocky as all hell when they are in the goblin.
