The Grenade Issue

So I’ve been playing for about an hour now and I got so pissed off at one thing and one thing only. The grenade spam, every single gun fight when I get an enemy to half shields they run away and throw 4 grenades and the gun fight comes to 2 points either I die by the grenades or they regain their shields and I die because of the grenade damage that completely takes off my shields. Either the grenades need longer fuses, only 2 grenades per person, or both. I just feel as I cant win gun fights now unless they are mid to long range.

I agree, something should be done to remedy the grenade spam. It’s just not a fun way to play the game. Add friendly fire, nerf grenades, reduce the amount of grenades players spawn with, whatever. Just something.
Every fight begins with grenades, every death is a martyrdom, every time you try to take cover, 3 grenades come rolling in to -Yoink- up your day.

halo CE nostalgia? lol

Yes, every fight comes down to grenades. Halo is great for its grenade tactics, however this was a bit much

Grenades used to be balanced because friendly fire was on, but since they turned it off starting from Halo 4 onwards I think, people can just spam explosives with impunity… to be fair, I get why friendly fire was disabled as people would TK to steal weapons or vehicles or other dumb reason, but still… I think nerfing the damage or radius isn’t a good call tho, they are kind of meant to prevent camping…

They need to reduce starting grenade count down to 1 or remove them entirely. Right now every fight starts and ends with a barrage of grenades. Sometimes I’ll be walking around and just hear 2-5 seconds of explosions with no gunfire in between.

I only played a round against actual players tonight and yeah, the grenades were a bit much, at least compared to other Halos. Usually I need some time to figure out how to throw a grenade where I want it to go, how high to arc it, etc. In Infinite, it felt like I could whip it across the map no problem, like, as simple as pointing and shooting. It seemed too easy! But I should probably play more.
