the graphics?

Does anyone know if the graphics will be like where you look off into the distance it looks really -Yoink-?

For 2005 hardware, this graphics are pretty well done. If you see some nasty grahpics far away think that xbox has already 7 years

But you will eventually see those nasty glitches. Xbox isn’t a PC.

It’s still (basically) the same hardware. They didn’t upgrade much about the actual internals that would affect anything like that.

You’re talking about something called LOD (Level Of Detail) distance. It’s something pretty much every video game does to a greater or lesser extent. Some games have clever or not so clever ways to mask it or hide the transition (my least favourite way being Fog).

Oh lorrdy…
It’s the same chipset bro. The GPU is soo dated in the xbox.

I can imagine the Halo 4 graphics being the standard for the next gen console. It can only get better from here people.

Not at all.

Meanwhile on PC…
This is true next gen.

Because of what? Increased development cost? time? At least half of next gaming should be on par or above.

Meanwhile in actual post.

There should be no reason why the new xbox shouldn’t run equivalent to nvidia 590s or even 670s. Just saying the engine technology out there now far surpasses Halo:4’s. There is no doubt that Halo 4 looks impressive on the hardware it’s on.

When I first saw the graphics(which was from a distance) I thought it was all just concept art. You can imagine my surprise when I realized those were the graphics…

Why must you bring PC vs. Xbox into this? Sure PC is better for graphics, mods, and Free to Play games, but other than that, it isn’t that much different than the Xbox in my eyes. PC is only superior to those who are just willing to start an argument about it. I like the PC as much as the Xbox so I don’t care if the graphics are behind a bit. Graphics don’t always make the game. Besides, who says that the Xbox 720 can’t have Halo 4 graphics as standard and improve over time? Also, If you’ve seen screenshots for GTA5, it looks just as good for an Xbox/Playstation game of previous generation consoles. Is it wrong to assume that they can’t be as good/better than they are now?

He’s not… damn, you took that way out of context.

He’s saying that the Xbox runs on 7 year old hardware - the standard for next gen consoles should be able to run BF3/Crysis 3 on max settings or be almost able to.

Im pretty sure that the next gen of consoles will run BF3 at max graphics. But Crysis 3 not sure.

I understand, however, it seems like he completely ignored what I was talking about in my post. He was talking about how advanced PC graphics are compared to the Xbox 360, but I was talking about how these graphics could be the initial standard for the 720, which, in turn could still compare more evenly to graphics of PC games like Crysis 3 or BF3. That doesn’t mean that Xbox or PC graphics can’t/won’t improve. I’m sorry for ignoring the point of his post, but I still don’t think that he should be so blunt as to talk about something completely different than what my post was talking about.
