The reflections of the walls and floors are IMHO FREAKING AWESOME on my Geforce RTX 2070 Video Card. CUDOS to The Unreal Engine 5 Developers and to 343i for using that engine! The colors and the detail are the best in any game I have ever played. The detail of the vehicles ( Love The Detail on the hogs really nice! ). The detail on the scenery, the lighting, glass, rocks and buildings. It’s about time to have a game and a Grafix Engine that is very superior to anything that is out there. Good Job To 343i And The Unreal Engine 5 Developers!
The graphics really aren’t that great for a game in 2021. They’re alright, not complaining, just not blowing it out of proportion. It’s also poorly optimized so, I can’t really congratulate them on anything except the art style.
OK no problem. Are you running a RTX Video Card? If so which one. I have no issues with the grafix at all. It’s fast and responsive for my video card.
For me it works Great! Here is my system info:
OS. Windows 11
CPU: AMD Ryzen 3070X 4.2mhz
Motherboard: AMD Tuf x570 plus WIFI
GPU: Geforce RTX 2070 8gb 1620 MHZ
RAM: 32Ggigs of G-Skill 3700mhz
Works for me!
? The reflections are SSR, they’re not ray traced or enahnced by an RTX card in any way.
and the game is made on the Slipspace Engine, an engine developed by 343.
Humm really? I see few RTX files in the game. like mainmenu-rtx-new.module and btb_highpower-rtx-new.module and others which game me the impression it supported RTX GPU’S… Well in either case if it was the Slipspace Engine or the Unreal Engine 5 It looks awesome!

Remember in 2020 when everyone said raytracing could fix Halo Infinite’s bad graphics? That’s actually happening. 343i just confirmed Infinite will support raytracing thanks to AMD.
Halo-Infinite-raytracing-confirmed-on-pc-alongside-console-to-lan.
343i Stated:
“We’re looking forward to working closely with AMD to bring raytracing to Halo Infinite. Raytracing is one our top development priorities post-launch and look forward to sharing more soon,” 343 Industries wrote in the update.
Sadly Halo-infinite graphics are not even close of Gears 5 a game from 2019. I wish they used the same graphic engine as Gears 5
Are you running a RTX Video Card? If so which one?
the GPU has nothing to do brother
My main PC has a 2080 game at 1440p / 120HZ “Ultra-Settings”
On my second PC I have 1080 TI 1080 / 144hz “Medium-high settings”
I have the SERIES-X 4k / 60 FPS and a 4k screen
It’s the engine-graphics, Gears 5 ultra-settings> Halo infinite ultra-settings by a very wide margin. Gears 5 at the start was 5vs5 Halo-infinite is 4vs4.
I know you are Hype but Halo-infinite does not compare in graphics to CoD-Warzone, battlefield v and well neither to gears 5. It is a disappointment for me
I don’t even see how it’s functional on your card. I get an average 60-70fps on my 6700xt. I don’t wanna be mean I just feel like you’re misinformed on a lot and don’t really have a good idea of what you’re talking about.
At LH_JUSTIN I just feel like you’re misinformed on a lot and don’t really have a good idea of what you’re talking about.
You keep thinking that ok? lol
Here are my FPS results:
In settings Min. Frame rate = off
In settings Max Frame rate= Unlimited
Everything on low FPS = 97 to 120 max
Everything on Medium FPS = 83 to 94 max
Everything on Ultra FPS = 72 to 85 max
REZ: 1920X1080
VSYNC =OFF
Note: Not that much difference between Medium and Ultra Settings!
Chill dude. It’s not highly recommended to use low settings because it (for whatever reason) triggers massive frame stutter. Medium not so hot either on frame stability. It doesn’t make that much of a difference anyway. I’m willing to bed you’re fudging those numbers a bit. For example: does my card hit 90fps on Ultra? Sure, but most of the time it sits at 70-75 and suffers dips to 60. Activating camo can make it dip to 40 momentarily. Granted I’m running it at 1440p, but it makes no difference.
The point is with the visuals on display in infinite you should be hitting 130-140 on high at 1080p (which I’m assuming is what resolution you’re using) with an RTX 2070. I’m using a 6700XT which is a lot stronger card. It should be brute forcing this game over 120fps on Ultra at 1440p like it does literally every other game on the market. The optimization is garbage and if you take a peek at the official spec sheet released by 343 it’s absolute nonsense.
And yeah, you’re misinformed. You didn’t know what engine the game is running on, you don’t know what graphics technologies have or have not been implemented, and you seem unaware of what kind of performance you should be getting out of your own card. Again, I wasn’t trying to be mean, you ain’t gotta be a jerk. I’m just pointing some facts out to you.
Ok if you think I made up these numbers? …fine …I don’t give a rats behind what you think. The game looks awesome and it’s fast and responsive for me. I have no complaints. Those FPS number are exactly what they are.
End of discussion on this issue PERIOD!
Then why you post on a public forum if you don’t care what others have to say?
Comparing Infinite to Gears 5 in terms of visuals is purely a matter of taste. Gears 5 is designed with photorealism in mind, whereas Infinite has a very clear and intentional art style to it.
Don’t forget that Gears 5 runs on Unreal Engine as well, which has had an ungodly amount of money and time poured into it for many years at this point. Infinite runs on a completely new in-house engine, made with different goals in mind.
Not saying you can’t prefer one look over the other, but each game has clearly different goals and directions in mind for their visuals.
Honestly I feel like they just recently got a 2070 (that they probably overpaid for lol) and wanted to try flexing it in the forums, despite the fact that they still play at 1080p which a 2070 is a bit overkill for.
No it’s not “taste”
Gears 5 had better optimization than halo-infinite output.
Gears 5 has better tesselation, the third-person characters look incredible, the physics, the weather effects, the shooting effects, the explosions, the textures Gears 5 rival Last of us 2 in terms of graphic quality.
You don’t try to “justify” 343’s mediocrity in graphics.
HALO-INFINITE would have to be seen as BATTLEFIELD V “minimum” because Microsoft spent 500 million dollars on it. You cannot present such an inferior game in graphics, sorry.
I know HALO fans don’t like anyone criticizing their product but you tell me. I wonder, wouldn’t it have to look like BATTLEFIELD V if microsoft spent 500M?
There is absolutely zero Ray Tracing features implemented into the game currently. As that statement reads, “We’re looking forward… post-launch… look forward to sharing more”
Thats odd I see a few RTX files in the game hummmm. Maybe the files are in therebut maybe there are not turned in yet?
Just because you see files for something doesn’t mean it’s in any way currently implemented into the game. Nothing in this game is ray traced right now, not a single thing. As they’ve stated, they do intend to implement ray tracing features, but that’s coming later
Imo, HDR is what really helps this game pop. Without it, its bland.
