Normally when I get on to check the Forums with my morning coffee my thought process is “I wonder what people are -Yoinking!- about today” since that’s what they have turned into for the most part. So, realizing how negative I view the forum I decided to try a more positive approach to things.
What’s one thing you LIKE about Halo 5. What’s something you were impressed with or thought 343 and the gang nailed on the head. Gameplay, vehicle, a certain weapon, a map?
I think the Hunters in the game are finally getting nasty and aggressive enough as what they are in the books. As far as weapons go, lots of cool mods. The saw line is probably my favorite to play with even though it’s still decently hard enough to get some kills with them. The explosive rounds in The Answer make it a BLAST shooting at banshees flying around.
I love the elimination of (most) armor abilities and the return of fast gameplay.
I do like that the hunters and hard to kill, never thought about it until you said it, but yea, they’re scary again.
I’m going to get crucified for saying this, but I really like the new Spartan thrusters related stuff. Its just a ton of fun. I’m a pretty casual player so I don’t care if its “unbalanced” or “Not true to Halo” or whatever, I just have a ton of fun with it.
Before anyone says “you must have started with H4”, I’ve been playing since CE. I’m a big Halo fan and I love this franchise and every game that has been apart of it.
I love what they did with the weapons they did an amazing job balancing the game out even with the new variants of each weapons, doing standard weapons balancing alone would have been nice but multiplying that by 3 is praise worthy

I do like the sound you get when you get headshots with the sniper or perfects, makes me feel like a pro when though Im just average player.
I love the assassinations animations, I love the dmr with the blade, and splattering people with vehicles.
AND getting random hate messages.

I’m in the same boat. Most people who say that it’s not “true Halo” or whatever don’t realize the amount of time that had passed from John 117 getting his armor to where they are at with technology at the time of Halo 5, that things aren’t going to be the same. It’d be like Ironman never trying to change or update his suit as everyone and everything around him still evolves. I think the thrusters are pretty cool. Might be annoying with the spartan charge and what not like “i cant believe i just fell for that” but if you’re in a half ton of armor flying at a high speed you become one hell of a weapon.

So so so glad they got rid of the different armor mods and made everyone basically the same.

Exactly! Games change and evolve like everything else, I really like that Iron Man analogy! Ground pounding is probably my favorite thing to do, though its not very easy haha
I just like that its a new game, people always say that its not sticking to the roots, but when have roots ever looked exactly like the plant that they were attached to?
Anyways, if I wanted to play a game just like the older Halos, I’d go play those.
ahh the glitches, the funny glitches. Y’know the one that makes spartans and bosses spas out.
Things I like? Actually I’ve got plenty…
First off; BLUE TEAM. I dont care if we got three missions. I HAVE WANTED THEM SINCE 2000 when FALL OF REACH CAME OUT. I will take it.
Second; mobility. Being able to clamber and charge and pound just…really makes me feel like Im a Spartan. 1000 pounds of badass in a can.
The announcer saying, “Perfect.”
