No, these guys were various class, I mostly saw rangers or minors, they were rare despawned after a while, on reach if u killed one before they despawned you got bonus creds.

I think it was random,I’ve played so many reach campaign missions and I’ve only seen like 4 of those golden elites

Omg! I read the title of the thread and was like “lol, these sound like rare Sangheili, kind of like Willy Wonka’s golden ticket.”
and then I read the posts and that’s exactly what they are. That’s amazing. So like, every single level has one? do they spawn in randomly? I’ve never seen a Golden Sangheili before.

I think so, although like I said its rare to find one,
They’re not actually gold but their armor is gold colored, more so than the generals
As I said I’ve only ever found either rangers or minors
There are even a few white ones, these are zealots and field marshals… But I’ve only ever found two
Both on the level Alpha base one just outside the building when you come in to fight the hunter pair and another on a floor just below the general with the fuel rod canon before the level end

Sangheili rangers with gold armor is what they are,if I remember correctly their shield can take a lot of damage and they actually try and run away after a little bit.It’s more of an assumption if every level has one.I’ve seen I think 4 on all different levels so I just assumed each mission has 1

New alexandria’s I think is in a banshee so that makes it even worse because you’ll have to kill a lot of banshees.And it doesn’t really say if you killed a gold ranger unless you actually see it in that situation

I’ve found him in a few different locations on that level, once in the club, the hospital, and on a misc. Roof shooting at escaping civies

Lol your good man, they are always in random locations on the levels I’ve found, so you could be right about him being in a banshee in new Alexandria (fave lvl BTW)

This is the name of these Elites, some Banshees in Exodus and New Alexandria are also always seen boosting, these are Banshees BoB.
There is one in Tip of the Spear who spawn in solid ground (instantly die) as the trigger for spawning is before the loading zone for the area. He got one very short path however, it’s just the small place with a Covenant supply crate and a like 2 anti-grav things to sit down (if I remember) , that’s just a couple of meters away. He spawn behind the Wraith near the crashed Falcon and I believe he is armed with a concussion rifle.
