It’s a simulation of actual combat situations. You could simulate a reversed gun, but how much good would that do when you’re on the ground?
You are dealing with the wrong brass, soldier. The casings ejected from the BR85 are specifically forged to burn your freedom-covered face.
In all consideration it really isn’t that hard to fix the screen between being left or right. Just do the polar opposite of the coordinates on the screen (X and Y coordinates since screens have no Zed or Z) and mirror flip some of the aspects of the HUD. (Radar, guns an ammo, etc) are those aspects. Things like numbers, letters, etc will have to be fixed flipped (stays where it is but flips like a mirror) so they aren’t backwards. That would have to be after the first flip.
I’m a lefty myself but I’ve gotten used to living in a righty world. Ya some things do prove more challenging to do but come to find out it forces us lefties to concentrate more on it and a lot of the time we end up doing it better then the righties at least from what I have seen so far.
I played CS for xbox original and what I said above is what they did for that game. Also so everybody knows I believe according to the books Spartans where trained to use both sides efficiently. It’s mostly up to personal preference which side they use though.

You hold a rifle near your face. The majority of the UNSC’s rifles are of a bullpup design; the ejection ports are right where your face would be. This is a very common complaint of bullpup weapons.
The casings may be moving at a slow speed, but are also very hot.

They couldn’t be hot enough to melt through shields and visor, they’d be hot enough for the shields to realize the danger and probably just disintegrate them on contact with next to no shield loss, considering they do the same with BR ROUNDS with little shield lost. (comparatively.) the reactor in the armor puts out more energy per second than a hot bullet casing can drain.
EDIT: The melting point of Brass is lower than the amount of heat MJOLNIR armor can withstand I believe, not to mention there’s a coating on the armor to distribute heat evenly from Plasma fire, meaning hot brass would do next to nothing.
EDIT AGAIN: I am correct, the melting point for Titanium is 3000F, while Brass is 1750F.
EDIT NO.3: based on what you’re saying, Duel Wielding would be impossible.
Fighting for freedom is tiring work when you need to be up for work in six hours. I must rest my discriminated-against head. I shall return after work upon the morrow… somewhere between 18 and 24 hours from now. Hopefully to the news that our cause has been propelled to the forefront of 343’s attention as we fight for what is right in this world.

Link was left handed but after the wii came out nintendo felt the need to change it since the majority of people are right handed and they felt it would be awkard for most players… twilight princess on gamecube link is left handed, but twilight princess for wii link is right handed.
Yeah… That’s not going to happen, there’s still hatred and discrimination aimed at everyone, people who aren’t level 50 in Halo 2, people like like Reach, people who like AAs, people who like MLG, people who are Casual gamers, people who are Competitive gamers, and people who are PC gamers and want a PC version of all of the Halos.
Ha off topic but it reminds me of when I joke around with my brother for being a lefty by pointing out things that are made for righties that he uses and some of the most random objects like spoons.
> I know in real life I throw all my grenades with my left hand, hold my rocket launchers on the left side, and all that good stuff. After all, in multiplayer we’re supposed to be able to make ourselves, or at least our ideal representation of ourselves, neh?
…so if you were using a rocket launcher in real life, you would have to take it off your shoulder and set it aside so that your left arm will be free to throw a grenade?
I think this thread is more appropriate for Gears of War. I absolutely cannot understand what possessed Epic to make out of cover fire fixed to right hand combat only, when every weapon is clearly ambidextrous once in cover. Halo however, has no true cover system and this makes left-handed weapons somewhat unneccessary.
I think all that needs to be done to for the lefties is to buy a Front-mounted projector, mount it from the rear and pray 343 makes a control scheme that “inverts” left and right turning. Problem solved!
All joking aside. Mirroring the weapons should be VERY simple for 343 to implement. However, it shouldn’t be done as it could take away from other more care and time deserving things.

Nobody got a legit level 50 in H2…
I also think you’re confusing “differing opinions” with “discrimination”
Do not encourage the trolling of this thread. The bottom line is a majority of people are right handed, there is a left handed setting and thats it. OP needs to get over it 343 is doing many good things with the franchise and this is just a peanut gallery complaint to 343 in order to troll. Nuff said!

I am sorry this guy is an idiot…sure put it into the game…make a suggestion…but do not go bashing on 90% of the population as discriminating a_holes. Just because of this… I do not want it. I hope that they do not change it because you were being idioticly offensive about it…
Also…in ancient times…Spartans were taught to be right handed so when the lined up the weapons would be even…NOW -Yoink-!
I’m a lefty and I cannot play with southpaw. Besides, your dominate hand controlling your movement presents an advantage over most players.
Again, I am a lefty and I do not support this idea, nor do I support the existence of southpaw at all.

Actually, this is a legitimate issue for us lefties, if the OP chose to discuss it in a humorous matter it still brings to light a very real problem. Not one for me, of course, but I’m not the only lefty who plays Halo.
