The glare on Pitfall

Thus far I’ve only played one game on Pitfall, but I think the one problem I’m going to have with this map is the amount of glare on the map. It’s like Wreckage in a way with it, it’s just really distracting. Anyone else have a problem with this or is it just me?

i dont even know why they put glare in any of the multiplayer maps… it even exists on haven FFS

Maybe they are just going for more of a “ruined” environment feel, but it’s more annoying than anything.

The only glare I’ve noticed in halo 4 is on wreckage. Never seen it on pitfall either, and I’ve played it many times already. Where do you see it?

Nope, your brightness must be too high.

I notice it but it doesn’t distract me that much. I usually try to look away from it as much as possible. It bothers the YOINK! out of me in Ranganrok though -_-

I hate this about the majority of Certain Affinity maps. The stupid lighting makes maps unbalanced depending on what side you’re on. This was my one and only concern when I saw the announcement for Pitfall. Please 343, get rid of Certain Affinity for Halo 5. Please, please, please, please make your own multi-player maps.

I don’t think I have noticed it.

I still don’t know what all the complaint about lens flare is. If you’re playing the game, you shouldn’t even be paying attention to that kind of thing.

Maybe the enemy players are by the areas where the glare is thus making combat a bit harder? I’m not looking at glaring areas for -Yoink- and giggles, you just come across them while playing.

when you mean glare do you mean the bloom?

Bloom is a shader effect that will make objects appear brighter to give a feel of the camera effect. Some maps have high bloom like Complex but it’s never bothered me as much as others.

Whatever it’s called, bloom is probably the right word for it, I suppose the use of bloom in regards to Reach weapons just took over my go-to definition. But yeah, I suppose it is more of a subjective thing for certain people. Some see it and are bugged by it to different degrees, others not so much.

I just notice it more by the fenced areas of the map where you can see all the crashed Pelicans and such.
