The ghost is OP, big league!

it’s everyone’s birthday when they’re in that thing, either make the plasma cannons less powerful or make the ghost less durable, bargers!

Yeah, but so is the sword.

no chance lad, the sword was way better with ADS in halo 5

Lol, that was the dumbest thing that has ever been done to the sword. Sights on a sword… for good measure let’s add a speed boost. Why not make it more powerful?!

The ghost is stronger than most vehicles so by that measure it COULD be nerfed a bit but I don’t think there’s any need. It’s not like there aren’t other powerful items and equipment that people fight over for an advantage. It’s not nearly on the level of the WASP, which also hasn’t been nerfed despite multiple opportunities.

My only concern with the Ghost is how much it shreds in an already one sided game where your team largely has map control. The high mobility really lets you keep the pressure on and stop the opponent from securing things to counter the Ghost. The flip side of that is it doesn’t happen very often and arguably your team has earned that advantage.

I do agree that it could maybe get a little nerf in durability, seeing that it’s one of the smaller vehicles ( close to that of the ATV ), and pretty easy to use to get kills quickly thanks to how it moves. Straifing on a fast vehicle is incredibly useful. Lastly it’s probably the easiest vehicle to splatter with by far.

I’m curious how well a single ghost could handle a warthog that has both a driver and gunner? Most cases I can usually kill at least one of them while engaging. But if the Ghost can easily destroy a warthog, I’d then say yeah, I’d be fine with it getting at least a small nerf in durably for sure. IMO, the Warthog should be rather tankie for a UNSC vehicle. I’d see the Brute Choppers should be closer to it in terms of durability, not the Ghost.

In my experience you get smashed by a Warthog unless you can catch the gunner off guard. Once he’s tracking you it’s hard to get hits and you don’t last that long.

Anyways, I thought you were talking about the camo cuz I had joint opps on the brain.

Man, I want your camo that comes with plasma cannons.

IMO add a shooting cooldown and we’re good.

They could even tie it in to the boost gauge so it uses up the same power as such. So if you max out the boost you won’t be able to shoot for a while and if you’re absolutely blazing away with the guns then you can’t use boost for a speedy getaway.

Now that’s a really great idea, love it!

They just need to add back the damage values for the Ghost’s battery right below the driver. It used to be the weakest spot on the Ghost and made it easy to take the thing out, but for whatever reason 343 didn’t include that feature in Infinite.

For real! You’re telling me MasterChief, the savior of the Universe, is gonna die from one wayward energy sword swing? Come on haha

Yes, it’s very fun to use when you have it! If you are trying to destroy an enemy one, shock weapons and grenades, and the grapple hook, change the game :muscle:t3::fire:

I think the sword just needs to be louder imo

That’s a good point! I think it should be a two-hit kill depending on what part of the body you hit as well. Like, strike the head, that’s a one-hitter. Hit an arm - that should require a second hit I think

Punching them with your fist anywhere is a two hit kill, so the sword has to be a one hit kill to be relevant at all. It’s a power weapon after all.

Pretty much. In order for this to work, all melee options on weapons would have to be tweaked. Other wise there would be no purpose to ever picking up the sword.

Anyone remember the tank on the side that you use to be able to shoot to blow it up? I still rather go up against a Ghost than a Wasp.
