The Gauss Hog on Exile

I understand the need for there to be an answer for the Scorpion, but the auto-aim on the Gauss Hog needs a bit of adjustment. I have seen more 30+/0 Kill/Death spreads on that map than should exist in the Halo world, all because somebody jumps on the turret and just snipes people from across the map. Oh you have a laser charging on me? Better whip around and take care of that real quick. It gets a bit old. Of course there are many more pressing issues that 343 should probably look into before fixing little things like that (playlists, Crimson map debacle, etc.), but I’m going to throw my hat into the ring anyway.

Don’t play on the map, if people are voting for it and I don’t feel like playing along I quit. Simples.

If you spawn as redteam then the trick to that map is to take out the Gausshog (durr) and make sure you get it when it respawns and use it to spawn rape blue team.

i don’t want a nerf on the guass hog until i see a nerf to Plasma Grenades/Plasma Pistol

I find that only three vehicles can be domination weapons (guass hog is one of them)
and i don’t want to see this short list shorten further with a weakened guass hog

yes, i know a small fix can correct the problem without making it garbage, but i’d like to see other vehicles get more love before any of them get More hate

That hog is literally the only issue I see in this game. Not that I want them to remove it, but something would be nice.

The thing is I enjoy the map 100% otherwise, but that one issue can completely ruin a game. Brutal.

Lol, not using laser right. Charge pointed at a wall, or downward… give guass less time to react. Sniping the driver or gunner is pretty effective aswell. If all else fails, DMRing it till it explodes isnt that hard.

Either way, I agree. The guass is to easy to use.

You get to spawn with a DMR, a plasma pistol and two stickies. I don’t see the problem. A capable team would destroy it quickly.

If you think that gauss is easy to use, you should check Halo 3’s

exile has a lot of open area which makes guass easy to get kills in. It would probably work better on shatter but I still think it needs a little nerf.

The laser hog is one of the most fun aspects of that map, even though its powerful its EXTREMELY easy to destroy.

I don’t see why they don’t just even out the distance between the Scorpion and give BOTH teams Gauss Hogs >.>.

Giving both teams Gauss’ and getting rid of the tank is the only fix. Or 2 tanks. Whichever.

Putting a power-vehicle in a place where it can be reached simultaneously by both sides will ONLY result in it being blown up before anyone can use it. Every time.

I don’t see a problem with it, against decent teams i can barely get a spree sometimes before getting destroyed, against bad teams well its easy to get high multikills and running riot ++ since they don’t even try to destroy it.

The issue i have is team mates destroying vehicles in any map <_<

Gauss hog tends to get destroyed pretty quickly. I don’t know what you’re complaining about.

it can be a pain tbf i wouldnt mind seeing the speed of the turret rotation turned down,
i admit i can line up shots far to quickly on it :slight_smile:

nerfing it would make it completely pointless, its barely a match for the scorpion on exile as it is anyway. making the reload time longer would damage it to much to

unless you work as a team to destroy it then the team with is can open up a hell of a lead at the start of the game & its a disaster in btb if only one person is working do destroy it :confused:

I don’t think the Gauss is the problem. The issue is that it spawns right next to Blue Team, but Red Team has to run 100 yards to get to the tank. That doesn’t seem fair. If both teams spawned next to their respective power vehicles, I wouldn’t have an issue with it.

It is kind of weird that one team gets one vehicle over the other. It’s always been 2 Tanks or 2 Gauss Hogs up to this point, but it’s the spawning on Exile that’s the real problem.

I just wish both Red and Blue team got one.
