The gameplay loop is beyond frustrating

They don’t. The moment you pick up equipment you are on a different gameplay flow

Actually it was CE that had super large maps

Gaurdain and even the pit are not large.

Yes. I do unusual slide moves. Hard to pull off but it gives you great advantages

Lol. If I can have the thruster and grapple at the same time I would bow down to 343 and buy every skin possible. That combo would be the most fun thing in video games

That’s the point. You’re supposed to seek out equipment to give your team the edge in whatever gamemode you’re playing.

That’s how it was in Halo 3. It’s all about map control.

Ok but the equipment in halo 3 wasn’t attached to your spartan and on top of that equipment wasn’t huge in comepetive either because

More variable’s = the less you can see who’s skill is better

Because at some point someone will get a free equipment just for exsisting. The power ups and power weapons are right directly in the middle of the map so there was no unfair aspect about that. You can’t say the same with equipment

That’s true.
Halo 3 had remakes of those maps, and maps inspired by them.

It’s not like those are needed to win though.

I don’t know about bowing or buying every skin, but it would probably be fun and give some more movement variety.

I still don’t see how this is any different from previous games. There was always a variable in the game that vastly changed how traversed the map.

Like grenade jumping or flag juggling.

Grenade jumping and Flag juggling is not the same as someone flying across the map with a grapple or out playing someone with a thruster pack. Or even pushing someone away to do are denial with the repulsor

It’s just worlds apart. And if anything grenade jumping and Flag juggling still exsist. And it’s enough. There doesn’t need to be equipment. Or at the very least everyone should be moving the same with said equipment

Grenade jumping gave a shield disadvantage and flag juggling gave the possibility of losing the flag.
Equipment doesn’t give much of trade off.

Overall Halo 3 orginal maps are not huge.

Maybe. Maybe not. But it does give me advantages for sure.

I’m being over the top ofcourse but I want a fun game not a super restricted game

I don’t feel as though it makes that much of an impact from a gameplay standpoint.

Not everything requires an immediately noticable drawback. I think the inclusion of equipment spices up the gameplay. Makes it fun.

The abilites from Halo 5 WERE the spice AND the fun.

The equipment is the opposite of that. Every time I have a grapple and I fight someone with it. I’m like woooow. It would be so much more fun if he had one as well

On top of that it seems like you WANT variables. Just like what a hero shooter is

Avalanche, Valhalla, Last Resort, Sandtrap, Sandbox, Standoff and Rat’s Nest were all large maps, and Halo 3 didn’t have sprinting.

I’d say a problem with Infinite is that the maps just have strange designs.
I don’t know how to explain it, but they seem to push players to the sides instead of the middle.

I agree.

Wouldn’t that increase the amount of players both using melee at the same time?

The abilities from Halo 5 were damaging to the sandbox, actually.

Look at the maps. They were pretty large a lot of the time thanks to the fast movement speed. Not to mention, the high aim assist needed to keep the crosshairs on target.

Gotta break your balls carrying to climb, and a lot of the jumps are way more skill dependent now.

No they weren’t.

Look at the rig. Plaza and empire. Some of the smallest maps in all of Halo.

It made everything more fun. More engaging. And more skillful because you were able to dictate where you were in a 3d sphere.

Ummmm. Aim assist is strong in infinite. In fact even stronger because your not flying around with the thruster anymore. So it’s EAISER to hit targets. Not harder in halo infinite.

Maybe the desings just suck. But they were designed around the gameplay and its all we got so idk

If someone can grapple to melee me. I would be able to grapple away.

Same concept with the thruster.

That’s why it helped the melee situation. Not make it worse

Rephrase this. Don’t really know what your referring to

No it’s not. Movement may be slower but they most certainly changed the acceleration curve and sensitivity. Tweaking deadzones helps but it’s still wonky. It feels nothing like MCC.

The deadzones should work exactly like MCC’s. Why they changed it, I have no idea but it’s a chore to aim in this game.

I’m not getting involved because we’ve had this conversation elsewhere and there aren’t enough hours left in the day but everything you’ve said regarding movement…

If there’s one Halo video you need to watch in the world it’s Tangerine on Joshington’s channel, watch it! And watch it again!

If you think H5 had movement mechanics then you see what they do in classic Halo.

When they’re nading a cone to fly in the air, to jump on it while nading another cone to jump on that to get to a ledge - my head exploded.

Now after watching that one - look at the jumps and movement he’s already doing in infinite. Rather than arguing on here watch those videos, learn the jumps and movement (good luck!) then you won’t care if the opposition have a jet pack - you’ll get round the map quicker, trust me!

BROOOOO.

I knowwwww howwww to doooo the jumpssss my guy.

That is not the issue. Here.

The issue is everyone moving exactly the same AT ALL TIMES.

when you pick up a grapple the entire gameplay flow is distrupted regaurdless of how you spin it.

Everyone should be MOVING the same AT ALL TIMES. No matter what ablities they have or lack there of.

Get it now?
