The gameplay loop is beyond frustrating

It does balance everything tho. Like the other dude said. You can’t do cheeky double melees or Sprint around corners because I have the same exact movements as you at all times and the thrust slide closses the gap. On top of that it’s better for grenade spamming and getting away from meleles. It’s why I was ok with Sprint in halo 5 because every move you made with Sprint can be heavily punshied which is why I said I walked around a lot

I wanted Apex to have everyone have grapples but they didn’t do it. Even Titan fall not everyone has it.

If that comes for Halo infinite. A permanent grapple for everyone then you know what. Screw it. Give me that. I would actuayt love to see it. Everyone swinging around like spider man. How cool and fun would that be?

Yes. The grapple is better. Never said it wasn’t. If anything I said above that it should be considered as a power weapon

You want equal starts.
You want everyone to have equal mobility starts, therefore everyone gets Thrusters.

Now comes along a guy who picked up a Grapple. Suddenly, not so equal anymore is it?

If you want everyone to be equal on the mobility level, you need to give everyone the BEST mobility option, not 2nd best so someone can pick up a better one and then dance on your grave with it.

Unless your solution is to remove Grapple, then I can tell you once again, go back to H5.

Yes. At this point I literally don’t care what it is.

I just want everyone moving the same at all times.

AT ALL TIMES.

just like Halo 2 and just like Halo 5.

AT ALL TIMES

Play MCC or play H5.
You don’t have to play Infinite.

Why don’t you want everyone moving the same.

Like seriously. Why?

How is it fun when someone has th grapple and you don’t or vise versa? Serious question

Welcome to why I brought up H3 mobility pickups and you already agreed with me on.

Grapple isn’t going away, so there’s no point in arguing about it. And you’re right. If anything give everyone all the mobility or not. Otherwise we’re basically back to a middle ground between here and loadouts in Reach.

Because I know how to beat someone with a Grapple.
Grapple cannot make sharp turns, so a corner is the greatest counter.

Grapple has a very tell tale screenshake + sound if are grappled, you counter it by turning the heck around and swinging a melee back at them so it equalizes the subsequent fight.

If someone is grappling to get away, there is a huge obvious tell on where they will end up, making them perfect prey for well placed grenades or Rockets.

This comment is pointless. If you ever complain about a sequel to any game series, I hope someone throws it back at you.

They don’t have to.
I was unhappy with 5, so I went back to MCC. I take my own advice.

I’m occasionally frustrated with Infinite, I still go back to MCC.

God forbid someone wants something to be like a previous game in a series. Which is most of balance comparisons in this entire forum. Why don’t you go on a crusade and start telling everyone to go back to those Halos?

The issue here is how different H5 was to literally every single Halo.
I know you don’t play Halo because of this statement you just made.

The entire reason why people love older Halos and now love Infinite was because they play the same. H5 was so radically different of a game it could hardly be called a Halo.

The problem with that argument is that it doesn’t account for all interactions. There are moments (and I saw it and clipped it) where the grapple was the direct reason someone won a flag game. Because they did two grapples across the map and got to the flag super fast.

There so many micro scenarios like the one above that I would rather forgo that idea and have equal starts across the board

Yes… NSS. YOU were the one that said infinite maps, period, were stretched out. You are the one generalizing.

Recharge - not stretched out. Livefire - I’d argue not stretched out - no cross map sight lines, with protected routes to get around, and you can rotate very quickly. Aquarius - not stretched out. Behemoth - vehicle map so it’s naturally open. Launch site - not stretched out and even supports vehicles. Streets I’d argue isn’t stretched out either since you can make rotations in seconds. It has 2 long-ish sight lines -mid and arcade street, but neither are actually cross-map (though mid is close). IMO no stretched out maps but I could see you being able to argue up to 2 (live fire and streets). So needless to say it’s a strong disagree there and IMO H5 is far worse in that regard.

Then nerf the Grapple. Jesus, it’s not hard.

Hahahahahahaha… I’m probably older than you. Or the same age. Either way you are full of useless comments.

And gimp it like they did to the thruster ? No thank you. Why would I want to make a feature less fun?

Just make it equal

You claim to LOVE Classic Halo, but love Thrusters, but want nothing gimped.
Make up your demned mind.

Ironic, because Infinite is the closest to new and old hybridized and you hate it.

Back in the days of Halo 3, the maps were huge, and you had to take your Spartan across the maps at a snail’s pace.
Also, we had high-level play (grenade jumps, ghost jumps, equipment toss jumps, no scopes, grenade shots, etc.) that had to be used to win, and most AR fights ended with melee then too.

What the game needs isn’t a removal of equipment and sprint.
It needs better maps, more or less damage, and playlists with social modes.

I’m not sure what you’re talking about.
The movement’s easy unless you’re trying to do unusual jumping and sliding moves.

I’d like to see the Thruster movements added back.
Grapple starts placed on crouch or some other action when jumping would also be neat in addition to that, though the game might turn into Bionic Commando

Everyone does move the same?

My point is. You are either really slow or your Sprinting.

In halo 5 maps ledges we’re close enough were you didn’t have to Sprint. It’s not like that in ifinite because it wasnt designed around the thruster.

Halo infinite maps were designed only around sprinting and clamber so you will get wider spaces. Less ledges. Less sight lines. Open rooms

Take a look the area plaza in the plaza map. That area has stuff inside. Things to jump on. And fight around.

Halo infinite maps are almost all open rooms with nothing in it. It makes for boring stale and broken gameplay
