The gameplay loop is beyond frustrating

Classic:
Go play MCC.

Halo 5:
Go play H5.

For the record, I do like Classic Halo, that’s why I still play MCC alongside Infinite. If you are so inflexible to only want ONE GAME to do it all for you, then you need to seriously check your privilege.
(god that’s cringe, I never thought I would have to say it unironically)

NO. I want classic OR Halo 5. Anything but what infnite is. ANYTHING. Classic. Halo 5. IDC. Just ANYTHING but what it is currently.

Imagine if my friends sat down on board game night and they had a brand new board game that they’re excited to play and I said, “NO! I want Chess OR Checkers. Anything but this new board game. ANYTHING. Checkers. Chess. IDC.”

You would need to get new friends

I would say the other equipment just isn’t powerful enough.
The Drop Wall is weaker than the Bubble Shield, and slightly weaker than Deployable Cover.
The Thruster doesn’t move far enough.
The Repulsor is okay as a movement tool, getting away from melee weapon wielders and for fighting near ledges (which there aren’t many of).
The Threat Sensor doesn’t have much range.

I wouldn’t mind playlists for classic (no sprint and no equipment) and Halo 5 (Thrusters to start with only Overshields and Active Camo).

It’s not that it’s not classic. It’s that I see gameplay flow issues with how it is currently.

That is a perfectly fine argument. What are your proposed solutions? Glancing at other comments: Make it like Halo 5, or make it a carbon copy of Halo 2.

Neither of these things are going to happen.

I’m comparing them because they’re movement enhancements, are they not? Halo Reach and 4 literally only allowed you to sprint with the load out.

This is why 5 allowing access to all the movement enhancements was a good idea. No load outs to imbalance movement.

I get it seems like I’m asking for either extreme but something about the flow of infinite that doesn’t feel like Halo. Every other Halo feels like Halo. Even Halo 4. But Halo infinite is a comepletly different flow. No collison plays a huge part in this

The weapon pads. The grenade pads. The power up pads. The forced outlines. The gimped clamber. The gimped thruster the slower Sprint.

All of it feels nothing like Halo. At all. That’s where I’m coming from

Neither of those things actually fix supposed Gameplay flow issues either.

The H5 direction will cause more MKB vs Controller imbalance now that everyone can Thrust right out the dock. Good luck nailing your shots when the MKB guy can Thrust + 360 over your head and have your sweet behind half the time a Controller player can react.

H2 direction will actually work, but then I might as well just play H2… which is on MCC… which people still play.

The way I see it, OP just wants Infinite to be the game they want without them actually buying and playing other games.

People are happy HI feels more Iike H3 to them. Why didn’t they just keep playing H3, it’s in MCC after all?

Adding a thruster pack wouldn’t make it like Halo 5 tho.

The stabilize alone was HUGE to trick jumps

I think trying out the thruster pack would at least be a good idea to try in a playlist. They did experimental playlists in halo 5 before. They could do it again.

At the veryeast centerilize the pickups. Esspically the grapple. The grapple should be treated as power up and put in the middle as much as possible.

So what your saying is. You want something new for the sake of it being new and not because it’s good for the game ?

Tell me you don’t play Halo without actually saying it.

Halo Reach had Sprint as a Loadout.
H4 had Sprint BUILT IN, just like H5.

Halo Reach’s Sprint issue and Loadout issue was largely addressed by H4’s implementation of Sprint as a default built in feature.

H4’s issue is stupidly allowing players to build their own classes.

H5 did the only right thing of equal starts, but then they went bonkers and gave everyone Spartan Charge, Ground Pound, Stabilize and Thrusters BUILT IN.

So your problem now is Infinite has imbalanced mobility due to Equips, so like I said, if these equips confer an advantage which is undeniably obsence, then perhaps the solution is to nerf them or balance them.

Giving everyone Thrusters, the same thing which is causing said mobility imbalance isn’t going to fix anything.

HCS settings.

I don’t not want ground pound and spartan charge

And yes. That is what I want. Idc what the spartan has. I just want everyone to be equal all the time.

That’s because people wanted a H3 experience + new additions, not just H3.
People really wanted H5 to be that after the mess that was H4, but what we got instead was a game so different from Halo it couldn’t be called Halo.

You tried Splitgate my friend?
Splitgate is like Halo, similar weapons too. But does it actually give a Halo feel? Heck no, not with those portal mechanics and other arena quirks.

Halo 5 is a lot like Halo because of the eqaul starts and they fact that thrusters are canon.

On top of that I think people missed out on leaning the abilites because other things put them off like the spartan charge.

It was also complicated and many couldn’t keep up

In my opinion in was combat evolved. Litterally.

It’s how Imagine Spartans fighting. By being acrobatic like in the books

This is the only thing that will happen. We aren’t going to see them become permanent ever.

Oh no, someone misremembered one detail on the internet, better get out the crucifix.

My point still stands. It became a permanent addition, and you have the opinion thrusters is a bad permanent addition. While people still say sprint even is a bad one. So you’re one step further.

Thrusters is good. It allows a balance for people who sprint around corners suddenly and do surprise double melees. It helps to balance sprint.

I like how you can swing this at me, but meanwhile you are advocating for the same thing.
You just want people to have Thrusters for the sake of having Thrusters, not because of a mobility imbalance.

If you would actually use your brain and think, the Grapple actually gives much better mobility benefits than the Thruster, and being the top of the mobility chain, having all players with Grapple will actually make sense as an equal starts balance.

Grapple vs Thruster, the Grapple wins out because of the added ability of vertical movement.

You complain about thrusters which is a small movement in a few directions versus literally a gigantic leap and say that would make more sense? Grapple is obviously a power movement in comparison.

Thrusters is good. It allows a balance for people who sprint around corners suddenly and do surprise double melees. It helps to balance sprint.

  1. Double melee is not a thing anymore.
  2. Balance Sprint? By giving everyone Thrusters? So now people can both Thrust AND Sprint away from you? Actual funny.

  1. Lol?!
  2. That’s why H5 making shields not recharge on sprint helped further balance sprint.
