What? I skipped to all the jumps. I don’t need to watch a 2 min long intro. Alot of it was just montages of the same type of jump
I do have knowledge. I don’t claim to know.it all but I definitely know a lot and everything you showed me is basic. If you can show me something more complicated and more skillful then I will concede but so far nothing you showed is even remotely rare or hard to do.
Doing jumps alone wasn’t what made Halo 5 great. It was knowing how to use them in battle at high level play.
Everyone can do a thrust slide but not everyone can do a perfect while doing it
Wrong about what? My opinions? This entire post is an opinion on how a feel about the game. How is that “wrong?”
You like infnite. I like every other Halo
Doesn’t meN I’m “wrong”. We just have different tastes
Honestly I haven’t seen a single post (outside of my own) that puts a number with sprint on these forums.
I’m not saying you’re lying, I’m just saying I haven’t seen anything of the sort. If this is the case, I need to make sure I’m getting my facts straight.
I would like to know where the 8% came then from honestly.
I just watched a video putting sprint at a 13% increase in speed which is even more confusing.
I’m saying 4% because it’s what I read on a few Reddit posts, you’re saying 8% because posters here are saying 8%, but even googling it doesn’t turn up any viable results.
It’s clearly much slower than previous Halo titles and maps were pulled in a bit tighter to compensate, that we can agree on, but now I just want to know the official speed increase so I can stop unintentionally making unverifiable claims.
This may be common, but I like to bring this up all the time because its a vicious cycle and I just wish people would move on from it. Infinite is drastically superior to 5, maybe not in terms of content, but in terms of its basic design principles and artstyle and whatnot. I just think its cringe to just do a 180 every time a new game comes out is all.
I’m very much waiting for Gears of War 6 to come out, that way I can bring up my posts from like 3 years before and rub it in people’s faces.
@Trand0 I’ve heard 9%… Regardless its low compared to 4/5.
Eh, I mean some of the armors were clowns in 5, but I enjoyed it a lot more, especially on day 1 compared to Infinite. Maybe this time next year I’ll start getting addicted to Infinite.
I also didn’t get my ODST armor until I had literally unlocked every other set. Hahaha now that was a good one, 343. Thanks for that. I had quit playing at that time as well.
And now is where we double back to pointing out that it’s not the case in HCS so clearly it’s not needed in lower level play. If you argue it’s needed because you solo queue then if that’s the case then it would still be beneficial in pro play (and therefore you’d see it in pro play).
If you are trying to compensate for uncoordinated team mates by speeding up by sprint sliding - or any technique really - then an entire team sped up by the same factor would be beneficial. The fact that you don’t see it in pro play just proves you wrong
Well if you like Halo 5 more you are screwed… I doubt 343i will ever come up with anything better than Infinite. I mean you can always just go back to Halo 5 (its still a thing, didn’t magically disappear) but my point still stands. I know 343i too well, they have never made as good of a Halo game and probably never will again.
I mean what I like about Halo 5 kind of highlights what its good at, and that was its Firefight, but even then I still think Infinite could create something better for fans. Halo 5 is superior competitively (if you are semi/pro level player) but its overall just a chore to play I feel.
I liked all of the Halos in their own regard, but I can still rank them against each other. I seriously don’t mind Halos for being different. I was one of the few who enjoyed Halo 4 for longer than most, despite its continued departures from previous Halos like Reach in the Bungie era.
I’m not looking for Halo 5 gameplay, I’m saying I enjoyed it more than I did at launch than Infinite. I also enjoyed 4 more. And my point about mentioning those two specifically is because they were made by the same company, so I am letdown by them more relatively to their previous games.
I think its a disappointment to everyone. Them devs should’ve been working the full 6 years. We got arguably less content in 6 years than what we used to in 3 in the Bungie era
Content is simple though, and 343i are great at post launch support. The question that matters is how long will it be before they release anything?
Like if you don’t like Infinite it doesn’t matter to you, but for those that do its insufferable. They gave us a piece of cheese and a cracker, we want a full course meal. We want more
Its like there is a drought of content even though the game just released lol. Just sad.
I WANT to like Infinite. I WANT to love it actually. I’m a Halo fan. I liked all the Halos. This one just doesn’t have anything that’s drawing me in to play it content-wise and some gameplay stuff.
I’m frustrated when using either input method despite having played every Halo previously and shooter games since early 2000’s on both consoles and PC. They both feel off.
I’m frustrated when I die around a wall with no line of sight to the enemy.
I’m frustrated when I phase through an enemy so I miss my melee swing, then they get theirs in, so they win the melee.
I’m frustrated when I try to throw sticky nades to stick an enemy and it again, just feels off. I have no clue about that one. The throw feels delayed.
I’m frustrated with all the map designs. They just feel uninspired. I look forward to hopping into none of them.
I just aimlessly float around the forums which I’ve never done for any Halo. I posted and read a bunch for Halo 2, but only before the release as I was hyped. Didn’t care to frequent the forums after release.
I really should just play MCC at this rate, but the letdown of Infinite has just got me down in general, so I just watch twitch instead.
