I dont know, I feel these events are just so random and non impactful, theres just no reason for them to be an event with no connection to Memories of Reach. Nobody is hyping up for Special ops, they just happy for new cosmetics.
If all these released at launch, there would have been more variety in customization. They only did this to drip feed content. I rather have all the events normally at launch and wait 3 months for forge and coop update.
Its like ordering at Mcdonalds and they give you half of your order in the drivethrough and have to wait for the other one in the parking lot.
They should be able to be turned on at will, or all active at the same time-
Itās not like making them be time limited is bringing them more players.
See borderlands 3 - Seasonal activities, can be turned on or off selectively.
I just donāt like time gated events and fomo, specially in a content starved game.
Something like this: I could work towards some tenrai stuff, get bored- oh look, I can work towards some of the new event- oh whatās that, that purple mohawk looks sick lemme put a match towards that pass tonight, etc.
Definitely shouldve had better seasonal events that matter and better made. The reason why these three events were leaks together is because they are the only thing they have ready, and decided to launch it post launch.
Drip feeding, there is no purpose. At what reaso. when game launched, did we need Tenrai spartans? If they released Chinese new year, it has a a reason to be related even if its Samurai. But a week after release was just nonsense. Having the event come in and out was nonsense every few weeks was nonsense.
Events are supposed to āspice upā the gameplay and keep it from getting stagnant by offering fun but temporary modes.
I hate that the modes are temporary. Especially if you miss it for some reason.
Take Rainbow Six Siege for example.
So many good events, and they only last a few weeks and you can miss out on a mode.
Apparently I missed out on a snowball mode.
Chopping up the events into different time periods is a detriment imo as well.
Week 1 of tenrai: Missed it
Week 2 of tenrai: 1-10, IāM GETTING IT ALL BABY
Week 1 of Neon: 1-10, I got em all, babyā¦
Week 3 of tenrai: why am i doing this again
Week 1 of Tactical: bruh why this stuff aināt just in the game [this is where I am]
Iām looking forward to the tactical ops one - mainly because I finished the battle pass in December and want a reason to go for challenges (and I like SWAT a lot).
Iām not looking forward to the last 2.5 weeks of Tenrai once Iāve already unlocked everything though.
Iām hoping for the former. Iām not against maybe including it in a cluster of objective gametypes maybe, but honestly itās so unique it deserves its own solo playlist.
