I have a 5800x and a 3070. I loaded the game up and found it was blurry and having some frame issues. I open task manager and see its only using my cpu. Just wanted to let more people know this is an issue since I couldn’t find a pc tech preview forum.

I also have a 5800x and 3070 and I’m experiencing the same problem. CPU is pegged at 100%, GPU is barely being touched. I can get it down to about 85% cpu by dropping my res from 1440p to 1080p and capping the fps at 24 or whatever random interval they chose to predefine.
Please report your issue so we can hopefully get a resolution or at least bring more attention to it!
Task manager is terrible at telling you GPU usage. The tech preview does have a GPU usage issue (my RTX 3090 sits around 50%), but what you are seeing is not related to the game at all. Use the NVIDIA FPS counter (if it’s working, it has been garbage lately) or download HWInfo64 and look at that. Task manager WILL NOT report GPU usage correctly currently. It has been broken for at least a year.
It’s trying to xbox your pc. when they get some more work on their backend this won’t be a thing. make sure you have your latest nvidia drivers as well as your latest amd. it is currently murdering CPUs and not offloading much onto GPUs
my water block starts churning hard playing this game, so it was just obvious right away that this game was going to be mean to my cpu, hopefully they figure out more gpu offload
