The game needs to evolve asap

Attrition was new gameplay.

I should have said “it can require you to wait”

The kill effects are annoying, so it affects gameplay. It may not for you.
Additionally, sometimes “red” armor coatings get confusing and cause team-fire if you don’t always see the outline. That can affect the gameplay.

I see a failure to communicate here. After writing my initial response. So I added this to clarify.
My use of the term “gameplay” is refences to core mechanics such as movement speed, TTK, jump height, etc. I am not referring to “gameplay” as individual performance.

So the entire game became different or was it one playlist? We have had rotating playlists since Halo 2, them calling it an event now is nothing new nor does it effect the core of the game. Also Attrition is coming back as its own playlist without an event in the future.
This is like adding a campaign DLC. Yes it is more content, but the gameplay is the same.

You finding something annoying to look at does not mean it effects gameplay. What it is effecting is you.

Why just red? Could be blue, yellow, green, purple etc. It depends on your enemy/friendly settings. Also, if we take away the BP, people will still have colors they can pick and effects they can wear (like they did in the other games).

This feels like a troll.

“Gameplay” has a very broad definition.

Really depends on what you’re used to attacking and if you see the outline or not.

That is why I specified what I meant by my usage of the term. Hope that cleared things up.

I like the BR as the starting weapon. I like the grenades the way they are, but I think it might be nice to try just 1 frag at spawn in Ranked to reduce the spammability. No to the Buy menu, not at all, this is Halo and Halo has a specific conceptual rhythm that always goes wrong when you make a change like that. Loadouts really screwed the pooch for instance. I like the 4th suggestion, which is why I like Attrition a lot.

Sprint speeding up your run isn’t the real point to sprint in this game. It’s a catalyst to jump start the slide mechanic, and that allows for some incredible movement tricks.

Flase. Sprinting alone gives you an advantage

Not really. It’s like a .5% speed boost. The benefits aren’t in the sprint but in the ability to influence your momentum after sprint is initiated.

Instead of running around everywhere you can slide dash which allows you to shoot while maintaining momentum, among other things.

True. I’ve seen some radical stuff from the people who slide. Sliding in general is something I am not used to even after hitting Onyx.

What advantage? Not having a weapon out while barley moving faster than base speed?

You talking to someone that perfected this years ago. I know Sprint slide gives you an advantage. So does Sprint. Wether you like it or not

“Whether you like it or not”

Who are you talking to?

I’m talking to mister +5%. You did the math. It’s faster. Doesn’t matter if it’s by a little bit. Watch. When this game smooths out and shot reg is no longer an issue youll see all the arguments for Sprint crumble away.

I said + point 5 percent, as in half a percent

It’s almost negligible as just a sprint speed. The point of sprint is to initiate momentum for all the other stuff

If Sprint does nothing as you say then why is it in the game then? Obviously it does something

I just explained what it does.

It gives a very slight boost to movement speed, and is the catalyst to initiate things like slides and add momentum to jumps and equipment abilities.

The point of the sprint mechanic in infinite isn’t to just run around all game from fight to fight, that actually hinders you if you do it wrong because it keeps you from getting first shots on people etc

Equal starts is key to Halo. Start us with whatever gun, just as long as we have the same. New weapons would be nice overall though and fix the ones in the game. (I’m looking at you plasma pistol. Why do you even exist in this sandbox? Just as something familiar?)

Nades are fine. That’s Halo baybee.

The game is very stale though. I was actually pumped the weekly ultimate was trash so I didn’t have to grind Halo this week. Same few maps, same few game modes, broken ranked. This game will be great eventually, but 343 needs to stop the hemorrhaging of players. I was pretty sad about how pumped I was to not have to play halo. There is currently nothing rewarding about this game. And we have 3 more months of stale to go.

Its not failing because it isnt a CSGO clone.
The gameplay is the saving grace of Infinite, its just the content that is lacking.
Halo is an ARENA SHOOTER. Not a Tactical shooter with buy rounds.
Ur clearly not very well versed with Halo and what makes a good Halo game and are just looking for a CSGO clone. Id suggest looking into Rogue Company or something similar.

Equal starts and the need to control weapon spawns on the map is part of what makes Halo a Halo game and what keeps it mostly balanced.

Nades are relatively weak in this version of Halo…

ABSOLUTELY NOT. This is an ARENA SHOOTER, not a damn tactical shooter. If you wanna play a CSGO clone then go play CSGO or Valorant.

Round based modes wouldn’t work in Halo…

It just sounds like you wanna play something other than Halo so go play something other than Halo.

Exactly. This person sounds like they don’t like anything about core halo gameplay.
