The game needs to evolve asap

Iam primarely talking about Ranked.

  • Halo Infinite needs more guns to choose from in the beginning. People dont want to spawn with the same gun over and over again. List 1 successful game with 1 main gun.
  • Nades need to be nerfed. Nobody wants to get spamed by nades every 10 seconds. Its frustrating. Isnt this an obvious one? List 1 successful game with 1 main gun.
  • There needs to be somehing like the buy menu in CS/Valorant, give people more options how they want to play the game.
  • CTF etc. is cool, but there needs to be something new. Maybe a mod where people dont insta revive, somethign round based like CS/Valorant.

This are only a few points, but very important ones. Its not only me who thinks that way, friends I play with have the same opinion. Its just not “a 2022 game”

The player base is allready shrinking sadly.

Gears franchise has revolved around lancer and gnasher since it’s beginning.

But I totally agree that they really crapped the bed with this game. I’m thinking of jumping ship and if it hasn’t sunk in a handful of months maybe returning to see if it’s improved any.

And to people saying thats how Halo always was; New players dont care, and thats whats important. It need to evolve, thats why its called Halo Infinite and not still Halo 1.

Yes this game needs more guns. It’s hurting for more precision weapons.

I have a couple of ideas. They don’t need to be nerfed but you shouldn’t be starting with nades in the first place. Or there should be a trophy system equipment piece.

Yes.

And this was literally breakout in halo 5. A flag based elimination mode. I want breakout back

I’d love to be able to spawn with a different gun, depending on if we are defending, if wer leading, if we need to get alot of frags. Weapons should have strong points, weak points. But spawning with the same BRR BRR BRR BRR over and over again…

An we don’t care about Halo 4 and Halo 5. I’d rather have people who like Halo play the game than have Halo try to make a COD/Titanfall clone with a Halo skin, again.

Isn’t it already doing that with the Sprint, slide and clamber? The grapple? And the store/battle pass/seasons?

No. Sprint in this game is barley faster than default speed compared to the 2x-2.5x speed boost in Halo 4 or 5.

These two I would rather have been removed. But these two things alone are a far cry from the COD/Titanfall clones that were Halo 4 and Halo 5 respectively.

A map pick up like the ones in Halo 3? No, that is not very COD or Titanfall.

Not gameplay, don’t care.

Doesn’t matter. Still there.

Without these two it would’ve been halo 4 all over again with just Sprint.

The grapple was popularized by Titanfall and we all know why it’s in ifinite, so it can fill the gap of the missing advanced movement. Aka a shoe horned abliity

This still proves that Halo infinite does copy other games and trends even if it isn’t gameplay

More like still there but doesn’t matter.
Unlike in Halo 4 and 5 where sprint was included mattered to the gameplay and map travel.

The sprint in Halo 4 was much worse. You also had custom loadouts and armor abilities in halo 4 so no, this game would not have been just like Halo 4.

In titanfall this was part of your custom loadout that everyone has. In Halo it is a map pick up that some people might have if the grapple even spawns on the map you are playing.

This isn’t Halo 5 where all these things are cooked into your movement to copy titanfall. The grapple is a map pick up. It is not an ability.

You can have this point. They can make all the changes out side the game that they want, gameplay is what matters.

Hallo 4v4 competitive will alwayss need equal weapon starts. no one wants randomness. valorant gets away with it because it is very very subtle that gunplay is still very similar regardless of which gun is used.

if halo wants random weapon starts for each player, it will have to go the overwatch route and make everyone a different character model. i guess special armor effects for each player coulld be uused instead of different characters. However, i dont really like overwatches design. its way too much rock paper scissors.

I’d Rather play Gears than Halo right now.

At least I know someone isn’t going to grapple from 1000 feet a way through a window with the energy sword like Spiderman.

Without the Grapple shot this game wouldn’t even be interesting.

Halo can’t pretend like the Grapple shot hasn’t been done by other games already and use it as a crutch for lack of other equipment.

The game barely has any equipment types.

Even Halo 4’s abilities were more exciting in my opinion.

How about 4

Halo CE, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo Reach

The nades could use some work.

Maybe a cool down on throwing.

Maybe as a game mode eventually, on a map built for it, when more weapons make their way into the sandbox.

As it stands, it wouldn’t be all that fun now.

That sounds like poor coordination and mismanagement of kills to me.

I want you to screenshot of you unbinding sprint from your settings since sprint is ruining Halo and is “barely faster”,

Let’s take a look.

You mean a Loadout based system akin to that of Reach and Halo 4?

Both systems which either had a Meta loadout most chose to do as good as possible and win, in a Ranked environment, or diluted the system with different loadouts moving from skill to rock-paper-siccors moments which could throw entire matches.

Either decrease the starting number to one, or entirely, then have them as map pickups.

Fight for and pick up weapons from the map.

Which would be its own separate playlist I assume?

Yet almost every single thing you’ve mentioned are literally 90’s things. Custom Loadouts came in 00’s if I’m not mistaken.

I could do what you ask. I could also change it back right after taking a screenshot. Both are longer options than me simply not clicking LB.

It ruined Halo 4 and 5 since the default walking speed was made very slow and the maps were increased in size to compensate for running.

In Halo Infinite, sprit is only barely faster than default speed and moving around the map does not feel like a slog when not using sprint.
The way you structured that comment makes me think you did not understand what you replied to and somehow you combined my thoughts about Halo 4 and 5 with my thoughts about Halo Infinite.
Since we are making demands, I’ll trade you a screen shot of my setting for a picture of your grades in English from Elementary to High School.

I don’t know if you also wanted to include “Events” in that, but they do very much so affect gameplay. If you want more content or updates (ie more Ranked playlists or weapon variants) it requires you to wait for Events or new Seasons. Also, some cosmetics do affect your enjoyment in the game, like the burning skull, things that come with the BP. I think those are important aspects that impact gameplay and the experience.

Halo 4, if I recall, had the same BMS as Reach, which was just a tid bit slower with BMS than Halo CE to 3.
Halo 5 had the highest default BMS of all Halos to that date.

How did any event effect gameplay?

If we ignore the “new” playlists and updates they added without an event or a new season, this is true.

That is a far leap to take just to make it sound like BP effects gameplay (which it does not). Mainly because if the BP did not exist those effects would still be in the game. Also, those effects have zero effect on gameplay. I see people saying that seeing cat ears effects their experience so I know what you mean, but the effect cosmetics that people don’t like to see have on zero effect gameplay.
