So we are very close to Halo now, and everyone is exited. But i’m sure with most it will come to the day in the far future when they think they may go back on reach for whatever reason. Now i believe the games DLC packs: Defiant and Noble was wasted, as many people im sure are aware the playlists in which these maps are available for online use are gone so the only way is in custom games or private use. This puts people like my self of ever wanting to purchase them, despite how god they look. I was wondering in the future if 343 would consider making the maps free, or if not charge them at a lower rate, but most importantly bring them back into multiplayer matchmaking in some shape or form. What does everyone else think?
Reach is dead, long live the King.

It’s glassed…
They may lower the price in the future, but I think 343i will be done with Reach upon Halo 4’s release. They have a tight schedual planned for Halo 4… and I don’t think much Reach support is included.
I barely got to play the dlc maps in Reach because 343/Bungie were too scared of deviding the population. I can understand not wanting to alienate the have nots but only having a few playlists designated for the dlc maps just isn’ t going to cut it. Halo 3 handeled it better.
I’m not buying Halo 4 dlc unless I see a respectable numbers of playlist require it.
To answer one of your questions though, I wouldn’t hold your breathe on price reductions or Microsoft making the dlc free. Cold Storage was the last Halo dlc to go free and that was over four years ago. Mythic part 2 is still 800 ms points and that’s a Halo 3 map pack
Nah, there done with Reach sadly.
To reply to you, i am sure 343 will make the map packs for Halo 4 allot better then the Reach ones, since this is their game, not a Bungie one. Also they are releasing it with the game, or the means to get them rather with the limited edition. So they are making this a big part of their game this time, so i would say you are probably safer getting them this time around.
