Halo Reach is uncertain, but Sundance (CEO of Major League Gaming) is optimistic about Halo4 and has a good relationship with Frankie/343i
I don’t think we should worry too much about the future.
If we, as a community, make the present a success then it’s all going to be OK.

I don’t think there is much the community can do for Reach. It’s not just the MLG community which is a shadow of it’s former glory, the entire halo community is a lot smaller than it was in the Halo2/3 days.
Fingers crossed halo4 is a good “halo” game.
Fingers crossed that Halo 4 actually manages to pull through. It’d be really sad to see a franchise fail after being one of the biggest of all time. And it all depends on whether 343i can make this game work, if this game fails, so does all the other Halos to come.
I would be so upset if they dropped Halo from the circuit, this is definitely better news than we’ve been hearing and we need a lot of people to watch the stream that can’t make it to columbus.
MLG may not have the best reputation among players, but to be honest, the REAL MLG supporters and pros are actually extremely respectful and Tsquared among other pros is always out there trying to help out the community.
And if Halo 4 is a great game, and there’s the community behind it, it will definitely grow and probably surpass H2/H3 levels.

Reach can’t be saved, the MLG community is just trying to keep the Halo franchise alive long enough in hopes Halo 4 can revive it.

Yeah, if MLG leaves, Halo isn’t going to fall apart, you still got a very large community made up many more smaller subcommunities that will keep Halo going. The only thing that would happen if MLG left Halo, is all of the annoying fake ‘PRO’ MLG gamers who are annoying as hell, and do nothing but -Yoink- -Yoink- up, will leave. Which in my mind is good.
Also, even if Halo 4 turns out to be a big -Yoink- flop like some people say, the Halo community will still support the Halo title as a whole.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I think this thread is about just MLG Halo, not Halo in general.
Love it how people can still say, that MLG isn’t a part of Halo, that’s why they are in the credits in Halo 3, for Reach I don’t know…
For those who don’t know: MLG (Major League Gaming) was founded, because of Halo 2 and it is the biggest Gaming League so far for consoles and Starcraft. Well, Starcraft is even bigger then Halo Reach and CoD.
People are getting it wrong, because there are many of those MLG tryhards, which are pretty annoying, but MLG was always fun to play if you had 2-3 friends with you and I improved my gameplay a lot by playing the Halo 3 MLG playlist. Hell, I didn’t even know, what a BR was, until I played MLG first time… Yeah I never played Halo 2, because I had no Xbox before the 360 came out.
I really hope MLG will stay with Halo, because Halo Reach MLG wasn’t fun at all and I can’t understand why they include Jet Packs and other AA’s in their playlist.
So yeah, if there is a good Halo 4 MLG playlist I will play it, because it’s very team oriented and not like other playlists, in which we/I get noobs in our/my team.
