The future of Halo on PC

Lets be honest if Halo is going to exist on PC which I really want to happen, Halo will have to be on the Steam store, this is the only way a lot of people will actually get to know about the game as i feel not as much people know about halo forge because it is on windows market. Either this or make Halo cross platform that way it wont die out on PC.

I am pretty sure we have Halo games on PC. Because we have Xbox Play everywhere feature which lets you play games you already have. And so I can play Halo Wars and Halo Wars 2 on my PC so…

I mean for when Halo 6 comes out the multiplayer aspect

Halo is pretty well guaranteed to remain an Xbox exclusive…

It’s only Forge that’s available on PC.

Also, it’s free…

I am pretty it will for Halo 6. Since like I said Xbox Play everywhere lets you play the full game on your PC. MP or Campagin.

Halo forge is basically a test to see how well halo does on PC for when Halo 6 comes out

It’s simply streaming from your Xbox, is it not? Not truly PC gaming.

Is it, or is it a means of boosting the longevity of Halo 5’s life on console by allowing for robust community creation by providing the ease and accessibility of creation on PC, but for the console?

Nope on streaming, I read the article and it says that you can buy a Xbox game and download it on your PC and don’t have to pay at no additional cost. Here’s the link

only if they choose to use halo 6 is that system. Not all xbox games are going to take advantage if it

Maybe not all but there’s hope that they might for Halo 6. I already Halo Wars 2 and Halo Wars on it so I wouldn’t be surprised to Halo 6 going on the list.

Interesting, but now we have the potential issue of having KB&M versus gamepad within the same lobby.

when ive been playing against friends on halo forge i use gamepad and they use KB/M i always win gamepad is miles better simply because of aim assist the only time i was at a loss was with close combat sniping

I don’t think Halo should be on PC really. it should remain console exclusive. unless Microsoft is looking to get out of the console market. just forge being on PC already has people data mining and “leaking” stuff causing players to get upset when we don’t have or don’t get what was “leaked”. I do believe it will end up on PC though and putting forge on PC is a sort of test for it. I just hope console gamers won’t have to online game with PC players seeing how it’s so easy to use cheats on PC so it won’t be a level playing field. For example there was a video of GTA 5 where a guy was flying upside down under highway overpasses. some were like wow he is really good… then when you notice there isn’t one car on the highways during the day time and there was no turbulence that they added in it was clearly just another person using a cheats pretending to being a good gamer. so what will us console gamers be up against in a fps vs PC gamers using who knows what cheats to help them out.

I agree that cheats will be the downfall unless they get a good anti-hack but even then cancerous people will ruin the game for others by hacking whether they get banned or not if they hack and get banned it should be an IP ban so they cant just purchase it again on another account

Microsoft is really trying to make a move for Halo on PC. We have H5 Forge, SA and SS, Halo Wars 2, and the long-forgotten title Halo Online.

I wouldn’t be surprised one bit if Halo 6 is Xbox and Windows 10 compatible

I doubt that. I’m fairly certain I saw somewhere that Halo 5: Forge is meant to be an extension of Halo 5 on the console for those who prefer PC or aren’t around their Xbox.
