Is there something I’m missing about the upcoming Champion’s Bundle? Some detail that explains why it’s okay for 343 Industries to work on a set of armors and skins for who knows how long and not any of the real issues that have been plaguing Halo 4 since launch?

Is this DLC going to fix the ordnance system, a mechanic which rewards the best player/team with tools that make it even more impossible for them to be taken down (making most games extremely one-sided)?

Will we finally be able to filter Matchmaking so we can get better games instead of just more, faster?

What about Custom Games? Have Assault, Race, Juggernaut, Territories, VIP, Invasion, Headhunter, and Stockpile made a comeback after eight long months? May we now tweak these and other gametypes as extensively as we did in Halos past?

Do we now have more than one Forge map where 343 Industries didn’t feel the need to put in gigantic, immovable objects because they just couldn’t let us fill in the blanks ourselves?

Is there more than just a clean UNSC/dirty UNSC object palette?

No? Well then, WHY ARE YOU ALL SO -Yoinking!- EXCITED ABOUT IT?!! IT DOESN’T FIX A SINGLE -Yoinking!- THING THAT’S WRONG WITH THIS GAME! Not. One. THING…what’s that? The Champion’s Bundle is only ten dollars? -Yoinking!- SOLD!

And I’m sure 343 Industries - a company that only exists because Microsoft didn’t want to lose their console cash cow - won’t see myself and the host of other players purchasing this DLC on August 20th as an excuse to pull similar stunts in the future. Plus, there’s always Halo: Xbone, and that’ll only cost $560 (not including taxes or shipping, and assuming you don’t live in Australia).

I mean, c’mon: it’s not like the same studio ever made two bad games in a row.

You do a really convincing job at making the cons outweigh the pros of this game. Then again, it’s not like 343 really made it hard for you.

New maps.
New weapon skins.
New game type.
New armors.
New stances.
New armor mods.
New armor skins.

What’s not to get excited about?

I think there was already a thread for this.

That they would rather make cosmetic DLC content than bring back missing gametypes, missing custom games options, fix bugs, and after bringing Halo 4 up to par with Reach in content add more to make it feel like a proper sequel.

When life gives you lemons…

> When life gives you lemons…

You don’t make lemonade - make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don’t want your damn lemons, what am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life’s manager. Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons. Do you know who I am? I’m the man who’s gonna burn your house down! With the lemons. I’m going to to get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!

ANYWAY, I’m excited for Champion

So basically you’re saying “stop liking stuff I hate!”

No thanks OP, I’m getting the champions bundle on August 20th and I’m buying an Xbox One and the next Halo game because I understand that 343i is working on making the next Halo game better, while I still find this one to be fun.

Good luck with your Internet petition to get a company to drop everything and make all the changes to a video game that you want.

I mean, c’mon: it’s not like those haven’t been successful in the past.

The only way will be if Halo 4 was costing Microsoft and 343i money, but it’s not since it sold 8 million copies and it sold enough DLC to warrant more DLC.

I really hate what this community has become. I guess your missing the news about legendary slayer that everyone complained about not having… Sigh

Did you read his post? He isn’t saying you should stop liking things he doesn’t like, he’s saying that this game has more than a metric crapton of problems and 343 is spending time making cosmetic DLC rather than fixing the numerous issues. They haven’t even resolved the major issues that make the game worse for everyone.

You might like the game, and that’s fine, but surely you must understand how 343’s decisions aren’t benefiting the community as well as they could. Their priorities appear to be really messed up, and the lack of communication as to why they make these bad decisions only makes it worse.

These are very discomforting to the OP, and I’m sure many others. With 343 continuing to make perplexing, half-done, and very poor decisions for Halo 4, how can we safely say that Halo 5 will be any better?

And lastly, when did he ever say “petition”?

One right doesn’t erase 10 wrongs.

Hahaha that made me LOL.

Well, let’s go down the list of requests.

BTB Objective - BTB Skirmish
Classic Playlist - Legendary Slayer
Competitive Playlist - Throwdown
FFA - Rumble Pit
MultiTeam - MultiTeam
Weapon Tuning - Weapon Tuning
Team Snipers - Team Snipers
Big Team Slayer - Big Team Slayer
Team Slayer - Slayer Pro
ActionSack - Team Action Sack
Territories - Dominion
Assault - Richochet
VIP - Team Regicide
Juggernaut - Regicide
Headhunter - Nothing
Stockpile - Nothing
Race - Nothing

well, the worst part imo is that quite a few of the things in this champions dlc were already present in past halos, and now we need to pay to get those things back.

THE PIT -> originally in halo 3 (bungie made), forged numerous times in reach and h4, now we are buying it from 343? wtf to that.

RESISTOR ARMOR MOD -> was already present in halo reach at no extra cost with the sprint ability. now we need to buy it in order to use it. (wasn’t the “stopping power” of bullets on sprinting supposed to reduce the get-out-of-jail-free-card-ness? To help speed the game up? to balance the game in some way? and now we can buy it back to slow down and break the game again?) wtf to that.

SHIELD RECHARGE ARMOR MOD THING (sorry) -> previous halos all had faster shield recharge rates, halo 4s was slowed (plus instant spawn in standard playlists??? WTF) and now we are buying a faster time back. wtf to that.

RICOCHET that is, for all intents and purposes, assault, but now you can throw the bomb into the other teams base to score (why do we have the ability to throw everything in this game EXCEPT THE FLAG???) → again, assault was available as a standard gametype in previous halos, now we are paying to play it in cheap knock off form that appears to have no competitive value. wtf to that.

We’re currently planning on releasing these one day before the Champions Bundle releases on August 20, and you’ll immediately be able to incorporate these new mods into your loadout and experiment with them.

Probably still too expensive.

I feel the expectations for the Halo community are way too high. Are we that entitled to require every single gametype ever created to be put into Halo 4? Some of which were taken out, because they were relatively unpopular. While I agree with “the more, the merrier”, it simply becomes unfeasible when considering the limited development time. I would like to see the return of certain game modes, but is it worth it? The time is better spent on Halo 5. Besides, it was Certain Affinity who created the maps, not 343.

The lack of extensive Custom Games options is a major flaw with this game and probably won’t be fixed; it’s the sad and unfortunate truth. We can only hope things turn around in Halo: Xbox One.

I, for one, am enjoying Halo 4 and wish 343i the absolute best. Thanks for paying attention to the community–an attribute unique to large companies within the gaming world.

When you purchase the Champion’s Bundle, you only receive two weeks of exclusivity. After that, it’s available to everyone.

It’s great that they fulfilled requests & that they have been cleaning this game up slowly just like they did with Reach but most of the things you listed shouldn’t have even been requests. They’re not really noteworthy achievements

First of all you dont have to play halo 4 if you dont like it.
2. You dont have to buy the dlc if you dont want it.
3. 10 dollars, lol I dont know where you live but for me and my favourite game ever (Halo) its nothing.

Halo 4 has it mistakes but most of you people dont even get the real mistakes of Halo 4, like bad host, back out lobbys and JIP.

You are complaining about Infinity slayer? There is slayer pro since two months and it comes very often in the playlist, also there is throwdown and legendary slayer is coming. Even big team battle has slayer pro, so your first complain is completli -yoink-

– Assault is something i missed too, but its coming now so what the hell is your problem?
– for juggernaut (which I never ever liked) you have regicide
– VIP and Regicide are exactly the same thing and it wasnt in reach, they brough it back.
– for territories you have extraction or dominion. (was a very bad modus by the way)

They dont have to bring back every gametype just because it was there! Headhunter and stockpile was no fun, so they didnt put it in the game.

You have 4 gigantic forge maps where you can do more than ever! I have no idea what you are talking about.

Complaining about totally stupid things in my opinion.

For everything that 343 does there will be people that complain about. Even if they make a remake of one of the best maps, even if they bring cool new armors, even if they bring assault back.

When life give you lemons…

like ChildhudObesidy already said.

no way dude, if you actually like the ordinance system then i dunno what to say to you because its flawed, you shouldnt be able to keep the points you racked up if you die. it should be based on sprees not points earned. it just makes the game a one sided pw match. another thing the aas break the game aswell as the KILL indicator over the flag carrier, you should have to look for the carrier because you let him get your flag. thats just minute details. the game has been dumbed down to such a level that after 2 games a noobie will actually do well, becausw said noobie got a pw and got alot of kills effortlessly namely IC and the saw have rediculous killing power and require no effort to use, but whats the point when everyones got one? i can deal with sprint. now for the main game breaker to me, FLINCH is a mechanic unsuitable fore halo because descoping has the power to hinder snipers and long range enemies by taking the scope away, with flinch the sniper wont descope but jar very lightly and barely do anything negative when receiving incomming fire, and you know i actually forgot what this topic was about because i went into the rant, halo was broken, but now its getting better. i look forward to getting back on and playing its been a while since ive played but you can lookat my record and see that im above average player.
