The Frustrating Thing About AR Starts Isn't the Assault Rifle

The issue is the Sidekick.

Everything about the way this weapon works in Infinite is annoying.

In theory, its a weapon that is spammable in very close quarters so it can compete with close range weapons, and if you slow down your shots to control bloom you can use it up to mid range.

In PRACTICE, however, the sidekick is exclusively used as a pseudo-SMG. People probably wear out their controllers spamming this weapon alone. I imagine they have to be screaming like Keanu Reeves in Point Break every time they’re using it.

It wouldn’t be a bad thing, except its so RANDOM in this regards. With the way the desync and PING are so wildly bad in this game, you’re either John Wick or a 50 year old suburban house wife that’s never touched a gun before. You can spam the living crap out of it and get free kills.

I hate it, I think its the worst optimized and least fun to use handgun in Halo history, and I will not budge on that opinion.

If the game’s performance was better, the sidekick wouldn’t be a problem. Even I tend to feel like my pistol shots don’t register sometimes like I just ran through 11 shots to take out a shield, pacing my bullets too in fact.

This is true. In the same match I can perfect someone with the pistol, and then turn around and unload a full clip, the last few shots looking like headshots, but it seems like the other player still has half his shield.
