do u guys think that the new reclaimer trilogy will take back the fps (and overall game) crown?
honestly i would halo to get it back but unless halo 4 is all around the greatest halo yet cod will always rule (not that i approve cod doesnt deserve it but ya)
As far as I’m concerned, Halo still has the FPS crown.
CoD and Battlefield suck.
I can see COD slowly dieing due to lack of innovation, Battlefield isnt even a competator in my books, so yes I think Halo 4 has the potetnial to capture alot of audience from all genres and certainly other FPSs.

im talking in terms of sales

Probably not, mc donalds always outsells big restaurants, but we know where the quality is don’t we gentlemen?
Why do sales matter? Sales don’t represent a games quality, nor does critic reviews.

Then No.
Of course not.
How on Earth do you think a single console exclusive (coming off a sequel that’s been received with mixed feelings) is going to beat a multiplatform game that has “all” the mainstream appeal these days?
It won’t beat CoD. It might beat it on 360 alone if 343i is lucky. But overall: no way.
Should we care: nope. It simply doesn’t affect our gaming experience…
In sales? No.
we all love halo and thats all that matters it doesnt have to be official
Halo as a series holds the title, to me at least. When you look at other games like CoD, they only last with a constant flow of games at a steady rate. And while Halo might be somewhat close to that, each game is as cherished by its fans as its successor. Proven by the fans who stayed to the bitter end with Halo 2 Live as it died, and by the fans that continue to play the rest of them even now. You think CoD producers would ever make an HD remake of its first game… hell no, no one cares about it.

yea i meen getting back to halo 3 daysand selling over 12 million and where everyone knows that halo is great

Please, give COD 3 more releases and I mark you its popularity will dwindle. They pretty much screwed themselves over by making yearly released games because they don’t have enough time for conceptualizing. Creating almost exact copies for 4 years in a row has already started to gather weight on them (MW3 was hated on much more than its predecessors). I can’t believe I’m saying this, but unless next gen comes along and ruins everything, COD may be exiting its golden age. That would really make me happy. The COD series doesn’t give original, good FPSs much of a chance in the market. Look what happened to Reach’s popularity.

Thats where youre wrong… we have to realize the inconvenient truth here people. It doesnt “own” xbox live anymore like Halo used to.
As of January 30th according to Major Nelson Halo: Reach was the sixth most played game on live. Three of the top five i believe were to be Call of Duty games.
Halo can take it back if it brings back competitiveness and good maps. And not stupid features such as armor locks and mobile-recharging camouflage.

it decides weather we get a new game or not and how much the budget for the next one will be
NO
simply because it’s an exclusive title.

im talking about top selling on xbox, like halo 3 days and beyond
Not possible, too many people have been sucked into CoD and even more in the past few months.
I’ll buy it 400 times if I have to.
