The Halopedia Discord is always a good place to talk Halo. Not only about the lore, but every other aspect of the game and franchise as well.

I’m going to disagree with what you said here, but if you don’t mind just answer these questions with only a yes or no answer and I bet you will find the actual truth if you are honest with yourself.
- These people that create this game are adults, are they not?
- Are they intelligent enough to tell the difference between constructive feedback and not?
- Is it hard to look past some of the negativity in a post and see what’s actually being said?
- Is it hard to look over the forum and see what applies to someone or not?
- Are they willing to accept what they did wrong or not?
- Well they take the negative feedback about the game and improve what needs to be fixed?
It’s really easy to look at things as negative feedback and brush it off in hopes it gets buried, but it’s really hard for most to look past the petty stuff and see what is actually is being said. That takes a strong person that has an open mind no matter what is being post.
As far as I’m concerned, a lot of players on this forum are very closed-minded.

Just found out about this nice forum trick/edit/idk what else to call it.
BUT, to essentially hide/mute all of these negative posts, etc, go to the profile of the account that has the post and on their “banner” where it says “Normal”, change it to “Ignored” and you will have all posts from that person auto-hidden, past and future posts. Very nice feature to filter out some of these repeated topics. Just did it and man the threads are a little better to see.

People refuse to talk about a single detail and only that. They must talk about other details in order to dilute the conversation. In my eyes that’s what’s close minded about this fourm. People will latch on to their feelings and start talking in a berating way.

That’s hilarious. The person that never contributes anything talks about muting. This is how echo Chambers are made. If you only look at what you deem to be good then you will have bias as time goes on
That’s where the problem lies with some. Personal feelings shouldn’t lead any conversation, but bringing that to this forum is stepping way over the line.
I may not like a lot of the very poor decisions 343 has made, and I may express my opinion in a strong matter at times, but I’m not going to bring my personal feelings into it.

I am too but I just bite the bullet and play honestly. Infinite isn’t that bad to me. There are things I don’t agree with but I cannot say that I wholly disagree with what 343 is doing with the franchise monetization aside. The game is allowed to change but there’s also an unspoken threshold on how much change we as players are willing to accept.
That being said, we have the power to control that change a little but not entirely. At least that is how it feels.

To prevent post/reply spam. Imagine seeing just “K” or something similar all the time. Forces people to actually write something out instead of one-liners or shock value terms.

I would imagine to reduce spam. Otherwise there’d be an excess of people just saying one word or something of the like.

I mean 343 doesn’t need people to hold the their hand. As a programmer, if I submitted a game like this to my professor, I would’ve made a solid D. BTB hasn’t worked in weeks the campaign is boring the maps show no creativity, the most interesting dialogue comes from the grunt towers, ect. All of this needs to keep being said so games stop releasing in this shape
