Are people really making up fabrications that the Forge maps are too small? Well, I’m here to break that. Maps like Glacier and Alpine are, in terms of physical space, nearly on the level of Reach’s Forge World. Yes, there are visible boundaries, giving the illusion that the maps are small, but think about it: if Forge World had visible boundaries, it’d feel smaller. Not only that, but we have to remember that the monitor is much faster than previous ones. So here’s the thing: try to walk across Alpine as a player from the two boundaries that are the furthest apart. Next, go to Reach, build the longest bridge possible from one end of the map to the other, and walk across it. Don’t be surprised if the timings aren’t too far apart, or if Alpine ends up being longer. How did I come to the conclusion that these maps aren’t that small? I used a thing that I like to call logic.
There’s also the complaint about the controls, but a learning curve isn’t a problem. Getting past all the lies of “Reach’s Forge having more options”, Halo 5 offers you the most tools and objects than ever before. That’s a fairly basic fact.
Parallax is a really small map. The skybox is probably as big as the Sandbox skybox, maybe even smaller. Alpine and Glacier are perfectly fine in terms of size. I’m just pissed that the space map is small when it should be as large as the other ones.

I don’t think they’re small, but there is a lot of unused space out there. If you glitch out of the BTB map on Glacier, the whole area outside of it (1/2 of which is closed off on Glacier with barriers) is completely solid. I don’t know why they decided to take it out. Again, not complaining about size, but the fact that some of the area that would work great has blocked

Yeah theres plenty of space. I don’t understand why people need more or want more. I never saw anyone utilize all that space that Forgeworld had.

its not a matter of using the entire map. the great thing about forge world was it had a large variety of locations to put your map. it opened up more Options. not the case here. so many locations that are good are either closed off or Very limited. the best example of this is the large Open icy Field on Glacier. i had a great idea for a map to have there that had the cliff or down hill. but no i cant use it because its very small and like only half the size. that’s why people are upset at the map sizes. its not that they are Insanely small its that they are so limited in the kind of maps you can make.

everything is midget sized in this game, and the monitor is slow as balls. The spartans are mini so yes “complete” maps appear to be much larger, but reality says these maps are nearly as large as erosion from 4

Eh, no it’s not. I’m not sure where you came up with the Spartans being small, but they’re definitely the same size like they’ve always been. The maps are just really big.
These maps are nowhere near the size of forge world. Alpine and Glacier are the right size although it would be nicer to have a bigger sky box and some better areas to work with. But what makes me mad is the size of parallax. That map should be way bigger its like the size of some of the arena maps like seriously. How do they expect us to forge on this map if you just run into the stupid barriers all the time.

There’s a vast selection of natural pieces. You can make basically any landscape you want. You are dramatically less limited in Halo 5 than you were in Reach. If you had a terrain in mind, you had to hope something in Forge World matched, or build it out of grey angular blocks and plain looking rocks (and not a huge variety of either). In Halo 5, if you can dream it, you can build it.
