This would actually be pretty damn awesome. The flood are more overwhelming than the covenant. Remember Cortana on legendary?

O.O

That’s the first time I’ve seen Frankie post here!!

You know, I’ve been thinking the same thing since halo 3: odst, and also it would be really awesome if it allowed versus mode like firefight in reach, it would probably be a lot more popular then the reach firefight versus.

> You won’t be fighting Flood in Halo 4.

I cant believe that this is Frankie. Read his last posts on his profile, especially on site 6 and 7.

He is speaking of 343 as if he is not a part of them, although at this date, he has already joined them.

Examples:

> Can you really get banned for just using Custom Challenges alot? That’s all I can think of. I didn’t do anything bad. Only thing I can think of is last night I had a game where I went 0-2 because It was Haloball on action sack and the other team killed me thrwe the wall twice in a row, but other than that. Why…?

> 343 just started managing Halo. Bungie’s been doing it for as long as it’s been out, give it time, 343’ll get there.

They need to be saved for the epic crescendo of the trilogy.

Similar as the Chief had to sit a game out (ODST is an expansion) so that he could be longed for, so to will the Flood need to fester.

To the Flood, defeat is just the addition of time. And time they need to fester as to make their greatest impact.
They need a cocky, non-believing or skeptical food source, and only time can do that. Not nearly as long as before in the Haloverse, they showed up 20 years or so before Halo: CE, but as for the humans, when we get power fast, we get cocky even faster… But such are times for the return of the Hero

> You won’t be fighting Flood in Halo 4.

what are you doing over here, shouldn’t you be at neogaf?

Personally, I had more trouble with the Brute pack on the second level…took me nearly 3 hours of shotguns in their backs, grenade sticks, and getting pwned by the hammer before i finally got past that room my first time on Legendary. Flood’s relatively easy…pick your battles, conserve effective ammo, and run like hell.

Wait, What lol

  1. In the Gameinformer magazine they said to prepare for Halo 4 is to read Cryptum and Glasslands. Their is no flood in those two books. Primordium refers to Halo 5 and beyond.

  2. Frankie said in Neogaf that we will not fight flood in Halo 4.

  3. Having three factions working against you sounds overwhelming from a story point of view.

> You won’t be fighting Flood in Halo 4.

Its Frankie!!!

> > Am I actually excited that flood won’t be in Halo 4?
>
> How… how the hell are we supposed to answer that?

It’s a rhetorical question, or a statement that is formulated as a question but that is not supposed to be answered.

> Do you think the Flood may return as the Precursors’ servants? I’m guessing this with the hints in Primordium. What do you think?

No, the flood will not return. 343 said we would be fighting a brand new enemy… Did you watch the Halo 4 first look?

Can you start citing some of the game details?

Quoted for truth.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO(Darth Vader voice)

That would be an irony if all this time the flood were actually good guys and infecting people so they could prepare to help fight against the new threat XD

Well that’s how Zerg was planned(rectoned imo) to be in Starcraft 2.
I am not sure whether 343I would reveal such twist to Flood. It could be dangerous, ruining Halo universe. but it depends on how they handle lore.

Last game out was anniversary, plenty of flood in there. And anytime you start missing their creepy demeanor just open up that terminal for the level keyes involuntary shiver. It quells any nostalgic feelings.
