I loved the flood (I know a lot of people hate them) the reason i love the flood is because it made the game replayable. how you might ask. well the flood AI was so random you basically could never find out how much flood would be in one room. for example in most halo games the covenant can only move around in the room they spawned in, but the flood can run around all they want. if you’re wandering why i posted this its because i want the flood back. i know that it may not make sense story wise but there are 4 ways i can see it happening. 1 the gravemind was one of the smartest beings in the universe if he can take out multiple galaxies i am pretty sure he could find a way to keep at least a few flood spores alive from the Halo ring. 2 if you played the legendary ending of Halo 5 there was a Halo ring. what does that mean? well if you think about it, every halo game you played had the flood in it, and those games occurred on Halo rings, and those rings were designed to bring down all living beings, so either A the covenant are trying to activate another one or B there are more flood and the chief is trying to do what he did back in Halo 3. so i guess this is basically explaining why number 1 is a thing. 3 Warzone is just a simulation so add in flood it doesn’t need to make sense. 4 didn’t the Halo rings have a limited range? : so that is the reasons why i think the flood could be brought back. there is no reason you can’t add it into warzone so why not? I really think the flood or something similar when it comes to the AI can return. i really think this can save Halo, why? well think about it, all the good halo games had flood in them. excluding reach. so i think its not Bungie that made Halo good, it was the Flood. not necessarily the flood but the fact that the flood was so different from all the other enemies, sure we have the promethiens but they don’t act like the flood. and the Hunters only had similar AI to the flood in Halo CE. so this is why i think we need something similar to the flood back into halo, like a new covenant species that charges at you with brute force in massive numbers. if you read this all good for you, you’re patient enough to listen to other peoples thoughts. and I’m to lazy to proof read so sorry if there is any spelling errors.
The return of the Flood actually makes so much sense, and has been hinted at in several sources for a while now. Cortana has been “fixed” by the Domain, yes? Well the Domain was a Precursor creation. Who created the Flood? The Precursors. Cortana suddenly turns evil while being repaired by a Precursor artifact, and then acts in a very Flood-like way by wanting to have control over the whole galaxy? She even mentions turning those who resist them into “their own image”. And yes, we see a Halo ring at the end of Halo 5.
Honestly, if this doesn’t end up bringing the return of the Flood, I will be highly disappointed.
