Is it time for Halo to have some elements of horror thrown into the mix? I think so. With Halo 5 Guardians coming out soon, people have been asking for the Flood to return. I think they should, but, in the level that they’re introduced, 343 should add some horror elements to really make the player feel tense and scared, while making the Flood even more gruesome and disturbing than they’ve been before!
Here are some things that I wanna see if the Flood returns:
- Make the Flood far more disturbing and nightmarish.- Gruesome transformation sequences. Remember the terminal from Halo CEA where we saw Jacob Keyes transform into a Flood form? It was gruesome and disturbing as -Yoink-! That’s what I wanna see! I want the Flood to transform in gruesome and disturbing ways to really sell the fact that these buggers are ugly, creepy, and nightmarish.- More animalistic Flood forms. No organic life is safe from Flood infection, not even animals! Remember the Flood Thrasher Form from Halo Wars? That was possibly a regular alien animal before an Infection Form got to it and turned the creature into an abomination. I wanna see more of that in Halo 5!So what do u guys think? Its not a matter of wanting to return, they will return. The question is when? I hope its on 5 and yes I wish they were a lot more agressive/gore looking. They did a pretty good job with the Gravemind.

Yeah, I still get creeped out every time I see that cutscene in Halo 2 Anniversary. Uggghhhh! I don’t think I’m gonna be able to sleep good ever again after seeing his ugly mug. If they’re able to make the Gravemind creepy as hell, then the other flood forms should get that kind of treatment too.

I don’t find the gravemind to be creepy in an individual perspective. I understand the thoughts and goals of the gravemind, its just how it attempts to achieve those goals is completely wacky and insane.
I want more flood levels so bad! More horrifying flood forms would be amazing. Just don’t remake H3’s Cortana level…
It kind of sickens me that we have had two games with firefight and neither of them had flood. Flood would spice up firefight so well. That’s a dream mode of mine. ODST style firefight with Covies, Promies, and Flood.

Uggghhh! I hated that level!!! Flood forms with a gravity hammer? Now you’re asking for trouble! Also, most of us have dreamed of Firefight’s return to Halo, so why not have it return with a bang?! Give us Flood and Promethean firefight damn it!
