The Flood revival and halo 6

From the New NIghtmare Expansion the flood have been resurrected.I have heard that the reason for this is that flood infection forms from the crash of high charity onto the ark did not kill the flood and Atriox,s troops found them while searching for a way to combat the spirit of fire.Nobody knows yet how this will play out but this does mean the flood have the chance to come back and may even threaten Cortana from the Ark and so could play a major role in halo 6.Does anyone hae any ideas about how this could go into halo 6,s storyline?

I hope so, but I think it’s unlikely. If they are in halo 6, we need a big explanation because $20 DLC for a spinoff game is basically like having to read a book in the EU.

Wasn’t the whole point of Halo 3 was to activate installation 04B to destroy the flood and the ring itself?

does every plan work? No

The ring was not finished and we know the ark protects samples of life to repopulate so all one flood spore would have to do is find its way to a protected part of the ark.

Not to mention to my knowledge the ark houses either samples or DNA of all life including that of the flood. Which could be another reason for them coming back.

I really hope they make a full return and appear in halo 6. No enemy could match the threat of the flood not even cortana. With their return it’s a 4-way war in the halo universe. It’d be swell if they corrupted cortana

I have an idea.

Have a Halo 5:ODST based on an elite group of ODSTs, specifically to combat the flood. Your opening mission is being sent to support the spirit of fire (rest of UNSC find out they are still alive). When you get there, do whatever mission, you find out the flood took a banished ship out to the outer regions where the other flood remain (I forget my lore, someone can fill this in for me if I am wrong). Anyway, so the story goes the UNSC have to deal with a potential flood outbreak whilst also dealing with cortana. Now, time for the big plot twist. The UNSC fail to contain the flood. Cortana has the plague thing mendicant bias had, and wants to use/release the flood on the galaxy (again lore blank-correct me if I am wrong) due to corruption by the gravemind in H3. The game ends.

Obviously, my idea here is not fleshed out, but you can see how this builds on HW2 story and H5, in foundation for Halo 6. As the foundation for Halo 6 is now entirely relying on HW2 and the EU.

The rings kill all sentient life. Flood infection forms (or spores) don’t have a central nervous system and as a result were not eradicated. The gravemind was destroyed, but some infection forms remained, and likely started to rebuild once Banished forces arrived on the Ark.

Most of the flood died simple in the explosion of the new halo, since the gravemind did his best to stop its activation. However It is true that some could of survived. The halo rings only killed their food supply and with their high metabolism they would die off in a few years, if we and the banished didnt show up and give them a new food supply.

Finish the fight again.

Halo 6: Finish the fight… Again, For real this time!.. We think? Possibly, maybe. Yeah.

Halo doesn’t kill Flood, it kills their food. Anything with a nervous system dies. So the Flood spores that were leftover from Halo 3 survived.

We’ll have to wait to see if the Banished will be able to contain the Flood until Fall! Should they fail, the chances of their appearance in Halo 6 is greater, but on the other hand, they might just make a cameo.

Yes…but as we saw with the Forerunners firing the rings didn’t work either.
