The Flood IS in Halo 5!!!

First off I have a whole theory as to why this is. Steps to find evidence:
1: Go to campaign mission Blue Team
2: Play untill you get to lab (the room with the hunters)
3: Clear room
4: Look on wall and ceiling, there is a few tanks containing a mass of cells just like the ones in Halo 2 and 3 on the missions High Charity and Cortana.

Theory: In the audio logs on Argent Moon it is stated that the gas in the air caused people’s insides to rot out and leave nothing left but skeletons (as seen throughout the mission) Most people think ONI was making some kind of Bioweapon…which is true to a degree. The gas was not the bioweapon, it was a containment precaution. If the stuff in the tanks is flood (which it has to be, what else would it be?) then maybe the flood got out and if any lifeforms were infected the station would be lost to the flood, with stealth ships in it…it would be catastrophic! So there was a nerve gas in place to rot everypnes insides in case the flood got out (which it did, in some form) therefore rendering the bodies unusable to the flood. This also explains why the AI aboard Argent Moon is so vauge and wants no one from ONI to reclaim the station…so what if the air isn’t breathable…they have masks! The AI doesn’t wamt them to go on to rist flood infection. While this is a theory I think it is an extremely likely theory given what I’ve already said and the fact that this wouldn’t be the first time ONI has experimented with the flood (read/watch the Mona Lisa). Leave your thoughts in the comments below.

Hmmm, debateable.

But Argent Moon is gone so our hopes are dashed once again

Saw a thread about this yesterday, like I said in that one, I need to replay that mission.

While its likely that oni is still experimenting with flood, after the whole flood almost killing everything I don’t think oni would keep doing that with even the slightest danger of it escaping now

-The bioweapon came from an asteroid. If it were the Flood, it would need food to survive, not something it would likely have on an asteroid.

-One of the data pads said the first subjects became sick but all recovered and survived. How do you recover from a Flood infection? Doesn’t sound like the Flood to me.

-This sounds more like the sickness from Nightfall; which, with the Hunter worms all over the Argent Moon, seem to be the only thing that tie Halo 5 to Nightfall (besides Locke, of course).

-Pretty sure ONI learned their lesson with the Mona Lisa. Also, how would turning a dangerous enemy into a significantly more dangerous enemy be advantageous whatsoever?

-I really don’t think this is Flood

-I also could be wrong, but it just doesn’t add up to me. Seems more like grasping at straws here. Much more likely we’ll see the Flood if they get released from a particular Halo Installation being controlled by a particular cuckoo AI.

Yes maybe the UNSC did learn a lesson from Mona Lisa, hence the gas to control an outbreak. Also another thing I failed to mention is there is a jackal that has had it’s insides rotted just like the humans…I wonder if ONI was testing the gas to see if it could kill things other than humans (say the flood on a mass scale?) While that is alot of speculation I can’t help but think back to the strongest point of evidence in the mission, which is the large biomass seen in the tanks…what else could it be other than the flood?

Oh, I thought you were talking about the tanks with the Jackals. I must have missed the tanks you’re talking about. You talking about those big flood pimple looking things? I’m gonna have to go back and look for those.

… wait a minute. Wait a minute. I think I get what you’re saying. Let’s try this again.

-Weird biological agent found on asteroid.
-ONI thinks “maybe we can use this to kill the flood” (not the covenant like I originally thought you meant)
-They infect Jackals with the Flood, then use the bioweapon on them to see if the Flood can survive the bio agent.
-The data pad I mentioned earlier that spoke of survivors wasn’t talking about Jackals surviving the Flood, but rather Jackal Flood forms surviving the bioweapon

So the bioweapon is a means of stopping future Flood outbreaks. I thought you were saying the bioweapon WAS the Flood. Meaning Argent Moon probably had both Flood and super dangerous bioweapon on it in order to pull of these tests.

Is that what you meant?

Yes more or less, the gas/bioweapon was either already made and used as a fail safe in case the flood broke out like in the Mona Lisa, OR the gas/bioweapon was being developed to kill flood by disintegration…just like the Promethian weapons (which brings another point I forgot to mention is that there is one the the shotgun variants in a sort of secret location containing a Promethian attachment that allows for disintegration of targets (perhaps to contain small problems with the flood)) I think the Bioweapon/gas was used to stop a flood outbreak aboard the station, also notice many of the bodies died with weapons on hand…but in the audio logs it is said that the gas killed all the humans. This is further evidence the flood broke out somewhere in the station. Also ONI is ONI, and wouldn’t a simple gas leak be a far better explanation for the loss of a station than a flood outbreak?

Hmmmmmmmmmmm yummy :3 I want the flood back please

I must say that HALO 5 is halo. (As it has the flood in it.) (While HALO 4, Reach, and 3 ODST don’t, and therefore aren’t HALO)

what if there was a grenade with this gas and its an effective way to attack flood
