It is close to inevitable that the flood will be returning in H4 (to the joy of so many fans -_- ) but this could offer some interesting ‘opportunities’ in Halo.
Flood in the campaign: Insanely annoying, comes back to life and has a habit of sneaking up on you-it has to be the flood; and we can be pretty certain that they will be back in Halo 4. In the campaign, I expect some missions where you find yourself in a flood containment facility and you are attacked by a host of flood in several different combat forms. Hopefully 343 will try to include as much variety in these forms; I expect human and covenant flood to return but I would also like to see the effect of the flood on animals. Infected panthers would be a good example.
**Story behind the flood:**Broken containment? However this seems a bit cliché for 343. Instead I would prefer a rampant monitor to be experimenting on humans and covenant [for example]
Flood Multiplayer Maps: An infected jungle? or an overrun city? or even on the other side of the glass wall in containment?
Flood in firefight: Flood firefight? Perhaps it might appeal to someone-or at least be a ‘nice’ change
**Flood in forge:**Flood sacks in forge listed under explosives, flood textures or pieces. Or even be able to put proto-graveminds in maps

Even though i found the flood to be annoying as -Yoink-! i would like to see them in Campaign, especially if they were very challenging on Legendary for example.
I think we’ll encounter Flood on Installation 07, if Chief is sent there for some reason.
Id like to see the Flood in firefight.
They’ll be back, but I highly doubt Forerunners would store them on a Shield World which the Legendary Planet seems to be. They could come from outside the planet from beyond…

Except the Forerunner book Primordium says they are coming back en mass to judge humanity for their right to hold the Mantle of the Precursors. They came from an outside source. Prove to me that ALL of the Flood is accounted for in the Halo rings and that the threat is dead.

No they didn’t. We found them on Alpha and Delta Halo and the Apex in Halo Wars. They did not come back on their own merit. When I say come back, I mean come back on levels when the Forerunners fought them. After all, it’s humanity’s turn to be judged.

I do find it rather humorous you are trying so hard to say they won’t be back at all since they are a core part of Halo. But it’s what I expect from someone who hasn’t read the books.

they probably won’t be appearing. i’m not sure the flood could make it into the world MC is going on. maybe they will appear if we did missions as the Arbiter like in Halo 2.
I strongly want flood idk for MM but I want them in every other game type as a new playable character or at least to add a tentacle and flood bumps on to your spartan (maybe elites and brutes) and have them play just like a normal spartan so like an armor add on
I do want to see them in campaign it would also be cool to have them in MM I don’t see why not if they play just like a spartan and have same hit boxes

If half of a starship can, a ship loaded with Flood could.
cobra, I’m not tying hard at all. what I find humorous is the fact that your throwing everything you have against someone with a different opinion on what halo 4 should be like.
the majority of players have probably not read the books, so it wouldn’t make sense to fight the flood in halo 4 because in halo 3 it was defeated as a major enemy.
My sugestion to you is read the Halo novels, there surpising easy to digest and offer a huge insight into the past and future of the Halo series.

I’m not saying that the flood shouldn’t return. it should come back eventually but not in halo 4, it’s to soon.
